I like revs. I'm coming off 3 back to back Infiniti G37's that have a 7K redline. I've never had a car that feels like you are hitting something when it changes gears. I love speed and performance, but it shouldn't feel like a speedbump when it changes gears. "Positive" changes are fine. This is poor design/quality IMHO. There is a TSB for harsh gear changes so I don't think it's a positive feature that is indicative of a sports car.
I have a Lexus, and in past the BMW M Sport. I'm old school. I love to feel hard shifts, tight drivetrain feel. That being said, I am almost positive Ford can calibrate the A10 shifting hardness in the Sport+ mode. They are totally able to adjust the perimeters of the transmission. Good Luck

Sport exhaust is too raspy for me.
It's not raspy at all on the Bullitt, for some reason. Maybe something is different, like Ford implies. In track, it's a bit raspy, and too loud for my taste, so don't use it at all. Plus like you said, it switches the driving mode to track, and disables stability control, which shouldn't be the case IMO (that's what the button is for, if you want to do that). So glad I don't like it. Ha ha. Oh, and you're also correct that sport steering is not nice at all. I only use comfort and normal, so yet another reason not to use track mode  .

I added a Corsa double “X” pipe and none of the modes normal, sport or track have any raspiness at all or drone. The only thing that changed is all the modes including quiet mode are slightly louder.

Some have seen small updates, others not. Have them reset the Kam. You can also do it by disconnecting the battery for awhile. All adaptive learning will be reset. You're probably dealing with the previous drivers stored shifts as you bought used.
Thanks. We'll see. If not, it gives me reason to get the Ford Performance kit lol!

To my ear Track adds the bass that Sport is missing. But it does drone at 2K RPM. Oh well, you can't have everything I guess. The Bullitt exhaust is probably tuned differently.

I don't like the body roll in Normal so since they've actually repaved the streets around here I typically go to Sport with the Track exhaust.

I wish the four toggle switches were for throttle, steering, suspension, and exhaust modes. The hazard lights could be a button below the headlights dial. Turning off traction control could be relocated to the Track Apps menu.

Without having read the owners manual, is there anyway to remember Sport Mode / Sport Steering every time I start the car? Seems it defaults to Normal every time...?

It's almost habit for me to switch the toggle to sport+ right after I start up the car and more recently I've always kept it in the S shift mode (A10) instead of D. Only reason I don't use track mode, frankly, is cause of the traction control being disabled lol. Seen too many mustang videos on youtube to be afraid of those kinds of things especially on these wet Florida roads.

Just wondering but is track/sport+ really that different on the streets? Can you feel that TC being off? I know about the deeper Advance Trac thing and know that it doesn't turn that off, but still.

For me, if I want a soft shift ride, I drive my daily driver. But when I drive my mustang I want it to shift and down speed rev like a sport car. Just me.
Thats right! And slap her around a bit

since my 2018's tuned to e85r normal mode doesnt feel as lazy as when it was on stock tune, actually shifts hard like drag mode but not just as crazy lol. even more alive now after adding a throttle controller.

but i seem to like sport mode the best. need that rev matching engine braking ya know, i guess im just paranoid about wearing out my baer eradispeed rotors prematurely lol :p:

Is it known if the option to select modes did not exist, what would be the default mode equivalent from the factory? Would the Mustang feel and drive like Sport, then? Sure, “normal” could be a given, but maybe that mode and how the car behaves in it, is just a result of having the option to select the other modes in the first place.

If you have the "M" button on your steering wheel instead of the Pony, does that mean you do NOT have MyMode at all? I do not have the digital cluster, active exhaust, nor magnaride suspension.

That would be correct. You need either the base model with the 301a package or the premium 400a model to get drive modes & my mode.

Ok, thanks for the clarification. Might as well have a crank start model T with having to reach down and flick a couple switches. What are we savages?! Lol.

It's sort of weird with a Roush. Even my build sheet does not say what "package" it is based off of. It has the gauges for Oil Pressure and Vacuum with the turned appearance dash. This points to a PP1 but it just lists the Roush 1 Way Coil Over suspension with height adjustment (manual). It does not have memory seats or the soft touch center tunnel so no 401A certainly. But the build sheet just lists all the Standard Roush Stage 2 kitting, then the option list on the right which for me is the Quad Tip Performance Exhaust (non-active), Billet Pedals, Upgrade to 20" Forged Wheels. Nothing about the GT packages at all. Tried to look at Ford Pass, but nothing there either. Can only assume, since no pony switch on the steering wheel, just the "M" which toggles the radio source options, no MyMode.
