All I know is, when I replaced all my bulbs with LEDs, including the glove box, IT WAS A NIGHTMARE to get it installed.
For something so simple, I was sweating and about to rip the whole thing out. LOL

So, all that said, I feel your pain...

Try one of those self adessive rubber pads, the type that sticks under a laptop to stop it sliding about .Stick it on the inside of the glovebox so it pushes the switch in a little further when closed !

That's the answer, problem is switch actuator not out far enought. Switch could be not fully seated into whatever holds it in place. Everything being plastic and all.

Another possible:

With clove box closed, run your hand top to bottom at the top edge of the box & door.
Should be a smooth transition between them. If the door is out, away from the glove box top edge.

See if the glove box door has a hinge set that screws to box. Can loosen the screws up some.

With the door open, pulling out on it some. Will move (tilt) the top in closer when closed . Moving it in will do the opposite .

Most likely will not take much movement.

It’s a glovebox

It pops right off.

No, but I remember the cost for new box was stupid price. It was under warranty, I had a gap and light would stay on
