Initial impressions on performance:

~ Eliminated 90% of my wheel hop w/radials
~ Much improved handling
~ rear now feels very 'tight' & 'planted'
~ No increased NVH at all
~ Eliminated the 'clunk' when shifting into 1st / reverse

Initial impressions on installation (first time for me doing this):

~ Pretty straight forward / comprehensive instructions
~ 2 hr installation time if you have a lift, I did it on the ground in my garage and it took 3 hrs.
~ the rear lower bushing despite the video saying 'add a little lube to help the shorter bushing half ( the one facing towards the center) slide in was a PITA, but, it did go in after some coaching.
~ The alignment pins was easy peasy, slide in with a little lube smeared on the outside of them

Here I marked everything so no chance of me fucking it up haha.

Here just making sure everything is aligned right before buttoning it up

The subframe bolts went back in no problem, and torqued to specs. Alignment booked for Thursday, but my initial measurements looks to be bang on. Kudos to @SteedaTech for a GREAT product!

I’m totally going to sharpy my pieces as well. good call.
Yeah remember too the alignment pins are different sizes as well. Front to back or vica versa won't interchange. Skinny front, fat back.

Nice write up. I’m about to tackle this install later on today. I’m curious on how your alignment went since your car was pretty much centered from the factory.

Everything was very close to spec for a base GT. So I told him to give me as close to 2017 GT350 alignment specs as he could. Couldn't be happier with those STEEDA components. Almost total wheel hop elimination being the biggest factor.

Oh okay good to know. Did your kit come with instructions? Mine came with nothing at all. I know I can find them online but I thought they would have at least supplied some type of instructions.

Mine didn't so I just printed them out and used youtube videos. The hardest part is if your subframe is out of line, you gotta use a pry bar in the voids in the body to move the subframe around.

Okay thanks. Last question. Above the op mentioned the alignment dowels go skinny front fat back but in the cj pony install video he says skinny back fat front. Which one is it?

Edited: Per Steeda instructions skinny in the back fatter in the front.

Something people also miss: the subframe bolts are splined. The alignment pins have a bit of a recess in one side of the hole to make room for the splines. At a casual glance you wouldn't notice, but if you put these in backwards the splines on the subframe bolts will just dig into the alignment pin material. The next time you unbolt your subframe bolts the pins will want to come with the bolts, and you'll have to use a screw driver to pry them loose.

We are starting to use QR codes on the box for installation instructions as well as directing clients back to our site to access the instructions in PDF form.

Best Regards,

TJ

If you have some all purpose grease you can use that and and regular screwdriver to push it in. I didn’t have any grease so I sprayed some soapy water and it worked fine. Use a long screw driver so you can wedge it above and use the screw driver to push each side in. Hope that makes sense and helps.
