I drove my GT to Home Depot yesterday to get some new lithium batteries for my impact driver. I'm 76 and high risk category, so my family rarely lets me go anywhere. Home Depot has curbside delivery, so it was OK. This was only the second time the car has been driven since before winter. I probably hit the gas pedal more than I normally would, but it's been sooo long.

I'm worried about getting pulled over, because the roads I usually go for drives on there is no possible way I could claim I was doing essential travel

Louisiana hasn't cracked down on vehicles, but I carry my work credentials in all of my vehicles, especially the Stang.

Unless there are other circumstances, I'll take the ticket for just being out for a drive in the country and fight it in court when this is over. I went for a short top down drive on Saturday, and it was a big stress relief. The closest I came to another person was following another car. I will eventually need gas, but I have gloves and a mask, not to mention soap...
Go for a drive - just be smart so you don't have to involve others.

Poor bastards. I flew out of SFO on the morning of 3.16. Born and raised in S.F. Built a business, raised a family there, and retired there. Have seen the Bay Area turn Into a real chit hole.
