I tried to remove the dreaded double honk today using Forscan but the line in the BCM is not the same as it is on any other mustang yet produced.]

I loaded it up and went looking at a specific BCM line, attempting to disable double honk. The line is different on these cars so I could not change it. Thats as far as I went into it because I didn't want to screw anything up.

In the owner’s manual of my Raptor, you can remove the seat belt chime with a series of actions. Not sure if it’s the same with the 500, but it was pretty easy

This thread started a couple of weeks ago and has had me thinking about the forums responses. I have been reviewing your ideas for what might make sense for me? I will do two of your ideas for sure:

UPDATED:

My first MOD is a by product of the minor body damage as received by the dealer. Since the paint shop is working on the rocker panel damage , I asked them to go ahead and please pull the side mirror caps and shoot them with body color at the same time. Hopefully, I will get her home this week . I will pull the wheels for converting to "Hyper Silver". I bought an extra wing to paint body color , but have decided to go with an Anderson Composites CF Spoiler when they are available. I'll also swap out the hood louver when available from Ford Performance.

Yes, I know ....kind of boring , these changes along with the Beith steering wheel are all cosmetic. I will leave the performance changes to all you guys that "have a need for speed ". The 1958 Hilborn 8 stack injected 392 HEMI in my 34 coupe already scares me to death. It doesn't have the HP of our GT500, but it doesn't weigh anything. SCARY DANGEROUS. It is most fun between stop signs or cruising around town with the Beach Boys.

I'll start driving the GT500 and wait a little bit before planning on my new generation , 2 door Bronco with half doors.

The seat belt chime disable is standard on all US vehicles. Required by law to be able to disable it with a series of tasks. I was able to disable it in my 2007 Jeep along with a 2014 Jeep. My 14 GT500 was disabled similarly

What's your source for this? I think you're confusing two facts, a) it's perfectly legal for you turn the chime off on your vehicle, and b) you can turn the chime off on some vehicles with a series of tasks, with a law that says you must be able to turn the chime off.

From the manual...

Note: The driver and front passenger warnings switch on and off independently. When you perform this procedure for one seating position, do not buckle the other position as this will terminate the process.

Note: If you are using MyKey, you cannot disable the Belt-Minder. Also, if you have previously disabled the Belt-Minder, it will be re-enabled during the use of MyKey. Read Steps 1 - 4 thoroughly before proceeding with the programming procedure.

Before following the procedure, make sure that:

• You set the parking brake.

• You put the transmission in park (P) (automatic transmission) or neutral (N) (manual transmission).

• You switch the ignition off.

• You unbuckle the driver and front passenger seatbelts.

1. Switch the ignition on. Do not start the vehicle.

2. Wait until the seatbelt warning light turns off (about one minute). After Step 2, wait an additional 5 seconds before proceeding with Step 3. Once you start Step 3, you must complete the procedure within 30 seconds.

3. For the seating position you are switching off, buckle then unbuckle the seatbelt three times at a moderate speed, ending in the unbuckled state. After Step 3, the seatbelt warning light turns on.

4. While the seatbelt warning light is on, buckle and then unbuckle the seatbelt. After Step 4, the seatbelt warning light flashes for confirmation.

• This will switch the feature off for that seating position if it is currently on.

• This will switch the feature on for that seating position if it is currently off.

Never to early to start to hear everyones plans to mod.
First Mod Completed...Body Color Mirror Caps. Also pictured below is the lower passenger rocker that has been repaired from the as dealer received minor issue. The replacement stripes arrived today and will be added in the morning.

I also took a step toward the wheel color change by ordering the Forgeline wheels you see in the attached link below. These will come in about the same time as my steering wheel from Beith.

I reached out to one of Anderson Composites Distributors for a spoiler and gurney flap , but the price was higher than list. I will take a step back and see about this later as there is currently ZERO stock and a waiting period. No problem.

My first mod would be getting rid of that sweaty pig stomach of a coolant overflow tank, what is up with that thing?
Can they not just add a black top like the older ones? They have some kind of huge overstock of that thing? lol

That blue looks mean on the gt500! nice!
