Many track cars have factory track and street alignments, so its not a added feature, just a adjustment to factory settings. What does the GT500 handling package offer since it was added to the car?

The Motortrend article mentions nothing about track alignment for the GT500 but goes into great deal about how GM worked with Motortrend to add significant adjustments which resulted in several seconds for thevC8.In reality Ford would not ship a stock car with that much negative camber because your tires would wear out in a few thousand miles if your lucky.

The C8 is not Chevy’s halo car and far from it. All 40,000 being built in the first year are sold. You don’t build 40,000 halo cars. There ZR1 will be there halo car just like the gt500 is Fords halo car.

The C8 is not Chevy’s halo car and far from it. All 40,000 being built in the first year are sold. You don’t build 40,000 halo cars. There ZR1 will be there halo car just like the gt500 is Fords halo car.

There not sold. MacMulkin still has like 700 allocations left. Hundreds of GM dealers have allocations left. You guys believe every fake news story including the Motor Trend fake dyno story.

I believe it’s just aero. Go read the C8 articles on Motortrend they go into great detail about their track settings. It’s great the Chevy allows so much adjustment but it’s very agggressive and I bet few owners will run setup their cars this way even on track. And definitely not for street.

The 4080 pounds in the video was with like 2 gallons of fuel.
With a full tank and the regular seat it is around 4170.

With his tank full would be around 4170lbs, then add the extra weight of the powered seats over the Recaros.

I thought in the handling package thread, it also had adjustable strut towers. Could be wrong, but it was a big discussion.

I believe the curb weight of the base car is 4171 with the regular seats.

It appears that they come with the handling package but no one has received them (yet)
I would assume that the base handling package test car had them but who knows because the article does not mention them.
