Not at all. Because it is an entirely new platform, engineers have been co-developing them. They have to prepare the platform to be able to handle the most extreme applications. You’ve no doubt heard the stories about frame twisting and glass breaking on dyno. That was the ZR1 being tested. And if the MT article is right with their claim that they were told that the combined output is about 900 hp, it would indicate that the output has actually been dialed back a bit from what was being tested when frames were twisted and glass was shattered.Why are we seeing ZR1 info before the Z06? Usually they put the Z06 out first. Are they possibly skipping it over this time?
Z06 will still get to market first, but ZR1 specs need to be defined in order to nail down the platform.
