Insufficient cynicism.

I perhaps have an unfair advantage in that I worked with weather models day to day for over 20 years. When the (multiple) daily models can't even verify 12 hours out and climo guys tell you theirs is good 10, 20 and 50 years out, LOL. We do not understand the heat budget of the planet, if you don't understand that, how the hell can you make a model that nothing more than garbage in/ garbage out.
LOL I'm not a weather man I'm just a civil engineer...... The reference to education meant it changed my perceptions to things and people around me in what I like to think in a better way.

Sorry gents I had corrected and removed the "all" in an edit but you had quoted me before that was saved. I realized on my own that was a statement too far.

I have watched Conservatism evolve in your country and mine and it is becoming predominantly for white folks .
Are you seriously trying to bring race into this? Now, I'm a racist because I expect people to follow immigration laws of the country they are entering. Every time I have gone into Canada I respected your immigration laws and acted like I was a guest in your country, same goes for Mexico. Why should we, as Americans not be treated with the same respect? If the dems want to change the immigration laws we have a new way of doing that here, it's called legislation. All it takes is more votes for it in the House and Senate than not and to be signed by our president and the law is whatever they say. That's how it works in a representative government.

Ok, apology accepted but why don't you explain what the "muslim ban" was really about now.

What I meant was " Donald J Trump is calling for total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States. Something to that effect. I just thought it was stereotyping alot of people based on the actions of a few.

My dad and 2 of my brothers are civil engineers, no slack for you! It is interesting that I didn't start on my degree until I was 28 years old and after 10 years of night classes interrupted by multiple deployments I picked up my BS in Professional Aeronautics. When I added up all class work I had taken when I retired, I had just over 300 semester hours, crazy.

The point of that spiel is that I learned early on (as in one class) to spit back to humanities instructors EXACTLY what they were selling and take the "A". I don't think a young person with no life experience understands just how severe the takeover of humanities departments on university campuses is.

Holy $hit I think we may have just agreed somewhat LOL. I too went back to school when I was 28 years old. I had dropped out of school at age 16 worked in construction for 10 years and then at age 26 very nearly lost my life in a terrible work accident. It was then I decided I needed to change what I was doing for a living and went back to school to get my Civil Engineering Technology diploma. I was oblivious to campus life as I had a young family so all I did was study & skipped all of the campus fluff. But I was very different from my school mates who were perhaps barely 20 then if that. I had already been hardened by life's realities.

You said that when clearly he was trying to limit the "people" coming from countries that sponsor terrorism until they could be properly vetted for security. Just because those countries are predominantly muslim is not his fault. It wasn't about racism, it was about terrorism and keeping Americans safe. This is a perfect example of the left coming unhinged about everything. In what way could proper security for allowing people to enter the US from countries known to sponsor terrorism be bad? Won't liberals be just as safe as conservatives, who did we lose more of in 9/11? Liberals or conservatives, hint it was NYC? It wasn't from countries that sell Girl Scout cookies or countries that are well known for soccer, it was countries that sponsor people in the harming and maiming of people they don't agree with. In what world could this be bad?

No I'm not trying to to do that and good Lord I never meant to imply you are a racist. I'm just saying that Conservatives in both countries don't look like the broader population do & I think there's something up with that.

Wow, we are like brothers and didn't even know it. I didn't go back to school til I was 30 and already had kids because of a crappy first career. Did you happen to hit your head real hard in your accident, that may explain the liberalism.

Merit plays a big part in what Trump wants. All the Somali coming into MN by chain migration are all 100% dependent on MN taxpayers picking up the bill for them. They are experts at gaming the social network for all that it can give. They have so corrupted the system that the governor refuses to tell Minnesotans where up to potentially hundreds on millions of dollars in social safety net spending went.

They are keen on THEIR cultural rights and just as keen in telling YOU how your CULTURE must change to accommodate them!

In other words, IT IS COMPLETELY ASS BACKWARDS from how EVERY other immigrant group acted when they came to Minnesota.

They will NEVER integrate into the American melting pot. In 50 years you will come to St Cloud, MN and there will be a completely separate Somali community. There are plenty of moslem countries for them to immigrate and integrate into.

How? How do we look different? Because we are white? Is it not possible I can be white (it's really my white parents fault), have conservative values and not be a racist? It seems not.

If I recall correctly that didn't include Saudi Arabia or am I mistaken on that?

Almost nobody from Saudi coming to the states other than students. Saudi oil money keeps the natives happy,

No I'm saying the folks in government are mainly male whites in those parties in both countries. That is not a good representation of the broader cultures of both countries. It is just an observation.
