It's getting cooler out here. Car feeling really good sucking up this cold air but I'm looking for more power as usual. I havea 2015 MT82 car vortech V7JT supercharger, 3.33 pulley 18 intake, longtubes and with a torque booster. I was mixing a full tank of 93 with 2 gallons of leaded 110 race fuel for a while until I heard that 110 can mess up your 02 sensors and spark plugs. Plus I didn't feel that much of a gain. I'm thinking about going with MS109 since it unleaded and get a tune for it but MS109 is expensive and I'd have to get barrels of fuel mailed to my house. Over time I'll probably spend the same amount of money on MS109 as a fuel system in the future. Sooo I'm thing E85 is my best option. What are the pros and cons of both E85 and MS109? Somebody was telling me to make sure I get a fuel tester as well..not all E85 is created equal lol. Depending on what pump you get it from. I wanna make 800+ at the wheel. I figure with E85 I can turn the boost up to14 maybe 15lbs? Is that right? Thanks for your help.

Pros for e85 is its cheap. its safe. and offerers chemical cooling. The down side is there aren't many gas stations that sell the stuff in alot of areas. I drive 28 miles. And fill up 8 five gallon jugs about once a month. Race fuel is awesome. But its expensive.

My situation is pretty much the same as above. I was on the ms109 thing for a little bit, but didn’t want to keep spending that much money of the jugs. Decided for a triple pump setup and haven’t looked back! E85 is absolutely amazing. I don’t have many stations where I’m at so I have to fill jugs also. I test my e85 every time, and it’s true e85, but I hear you can shove the same amount of timing in something like e60.

I think going E85 is a good option because it burns cooler and race gas cost does add up. It seems like you were living on the edge running the 3.33 with only two gallons per tank of 110. I thought the vortech JT was about the same as the paxton 2200SL but it must have a different step up ration. I was making 15-16 psi on a 6 rib with 3.48. How many rpms are you turning? Who tunes the car and was it picking up any knock? Also what peak timing did you see in the log?

I was thinking same thing.. .maybe he has a torque booster and is bleeding off boost from that 3.33.

Its wastgated so it only see 12lbs but it drops to 9 once it hit 7000 rpm. I think the only difference between the blowers are mine is oil fed and I can spin the blower a little harder and the paxton is not oil fed.

The big number is with a gallon of 110 and he took the JLT cold air pipe off. The 713 is on 93 with thr JLT on. But look at the drop off on the boost and hp graph smh

That makes more sense. I would go e85 and just run a 3.48 pulley and no waste gate.
