2020 GT500 confirmed orders

I was talking to one dealer that had purchased 8 allocations from other dealers thinking that he would qualify for at least 2 Golden Tickets and was told that the allocations had to be earned and not bought from another dealer. I wonder, if you have 3 earned allocations, can any allocation of the 3 be designated by the dealer, a Golden Ticket or is there some kind of code assigned to an allocation that makes it a Golden Ticket allocation and if so can this allocation be sold to another dealer?

You're getting a non CFTP. Of course you were more likely to get a VIN.

Man reading this stuff will make your head spin. I know Ford is making this car, and there will be low numbers, but it almost seems Ford is screwing the pooch with this roll out. This whole CFTP Golden ticket thing, and the secret Dearborn group thing..its just crazy overall. Exp when you compare it to other car roll outs.

Maybe it's not like this...but it sure as bloody well seems like it.

If you were around for the launch of the 1993 and 2000 Cobra R's, 2012/2013 Boss 302 Laguna Seca's, 2015 Mustang GT 50th Anniversary model and then the 2015 GT350/R's it was absolutely no different back then than it is now with respect to the launch of the new GT500 therefore not surprizing at all for many of us.

I'm not shocked. I saw it coming a million miles away (over two years ago). I'm just glad I didn't get flushed down the toilet with the potential ADM smash and grab going on at so many dealers. Mine did the honorable thing and honored my (undisclosed) deal.

The wait is something that really none of us have control over. You know (speaking to everyone) my AG R took about a year and a half to get from time of order.

Sit back and be patient everyone.

I think the major problem is the inability of the buyer to actually find out if the car they ordered has been confirmed allocated. As it stands now, the only way to confirm your car is going to be built is when you get your VIN and see "In Order Processing" and "Scheduled to Week" on your Vehicle Visibility Report.
