Ok update on my situation. Got my car to connect while KOEO but it disconnects at engine start up. Does this mean my brain box has no power while engine is on. Do I have a Voltage Regulator in my 16?
Did you get a factory ECU reflash or a new engine?

Yea that is similar behavior to what we all were experiencing. Not good news considering AFD said it was regulator related to the newer cars. So it must be something else.

I got my ethanol content back down to E43 and most of my symptoms have improved pretty much completely. Things get worse as the content increases. There must be something fundamentally wrong about how the AFD system is triggering the injectors. Maybe the time it takes to process the signal is too long? I don't know at this point I'm just guessing.

That's what I was thinking....or its just not really working. Remember I drove on a 7/8 tank of e85 for 110 miles and close to 0 noticeable symptoms and one lean code with basically no functioning unit. I think the ford ecu is just adjusting, and at lower levels of ethanol it handles it. So either there were just a few bad units made, or the thing just doesn't do what it claims. Hopefully it's just a manufacturing defect that gets resolved fairly quickly because I'm leaning toward giving AFD the benefit of the doubt...

Thanks man...I think were all wanting to see another example of the workaround. Let us know! In the meantime just waiting for the new harness

I can guarantee the system is now working. Car no longer leans out. Most importantly fuel trims go from 30% over which is max, to 0% over. This proves the system is adding fuel.

Update: By working I mean the system is adding fuel. There is something else going on though either with the timing of the fuel injection or timing of the ignition which is causing other issues. Leaning out is not one of them

Let us know how it does over E70, I started to notice the super rough idle and low power issues really bad above this content.

I had just under a half tank of 93 octane in it. Added 9 gal. of e85 brought me up to 58% Gonna have to run this out and re fill to get a higher content. But so far runs real smooth and man does it pull harder as the revs climb!

Hows the idle at this point? With my setup that content was borderline still of it running obviously bad at idle and low rpms.

You'll notice kind of a lope at idle if its not idling smooth. Atleast thats how it was for me.

Keep us posted!

I did notice a slight lope at idle this am when I started it up, But it smoothed out after a Min. or Two. Other than that it feels completely normal. Maybe a small loss in low end power though.

Yep that's what I thought too, but then once the ethanol content was high enough I started getting misfire codes, and the power loss was even worse.

have you spoken with AFD today? any findings?
AFD didn't give me any idea as to whats going on. They want me to send everything back so they can troubleshoot locally. Apparently they have two people dropping off 350s so they can run some tests.
