2019 Shelby GT350 #K1868

I just picked up my new 2019 Mustang Shelby GT350. The K1868 is the number on the dash so I'd say mid-2019 production.

It's an awesome car. This is a no option car, but it still has Bluetooth for the phone. It has the best standard stereo that I have ever heard.

The standard seats are very comfortable to me (6' 1", 200 pounds). The screen is very easy to work. You also have modes to tighten up the shock rates and suspension settings. I have not tried them yet as I am still in the break-in period (100 miles for street and 1,000 miles before track).

It also has a mode to tighten-up the power steering movement. I'll wait to use it after both break-in period periods.

It has two UBS ports and two charging ports (for phones, tablets, and battery chargers). The rear seats will fold down which I didn't know when I ordered the car. First pictures:

I'd be glad to answer any questions going forward on which is certainly the best Mustang ever made.

I hope you get your car soon. You will love it. The Voodoo engine sounds great.

Mine had 5 miles on it because they filled it full of gas. The guy in charge of prepping the car for delivery came by to ask if I wanted to keep the plastic on the seats as well as the sticker on the window. I thanked him for asking, but I would like you to remove the window sticker (keep it for me) and throw away the plastic stuff. This is a driver car.

I am not ready for car modifications at this time. The thought of 562 Hp in this car is going to scare the shit out of me at Road Atlanta (I raced the track for years in a 1965 vintage Mustang car which required a cage, a Hans device, and other safety stuff).

I have also read the owner's manual, and the stock GT350 already has a very aggressive camber settings for the mountains or Road Atlanta.The GT350R is pure track settings.

I'd say the price is a bargain. More stuff coming.

Congratulations! That was a long, long wait if I remember correctly! Great that you got it on the 4th of July! Buy some 93 octane, roll down the windows, and blast some Lynyrd Skynyrd out of that bad boy!

I've been married for 25 years. So if there are some hot women, they will most likely be menopausal. Congratulations! I see you are in GA, I'm on the east coast of GA near Savannah.

It is well know Magnetic is the faster colour. If you have black stripes it adds the extra 36HP. Well known indeed.

You don’t need to wait for breakin is over to try the various modes. They really do change the feel of the car. You will like the throttle response on sport mode. I’d not use track mode on the street though till you get used to it and don’t use track mode in the rain.
