After saving and scrimping for the last 3 years I finally have enough to get into a new GT350. The one I am looking at is a 2019 GT350 in Ruby Red.

A local dealer (I am in the tri-state area) is offering $59k on a $66k MSRP vehicle (a lot of options included). Given that the 2020 is the final year run for the GT350 and the fact that this is a 2019 AND that we are in the middle of a crisis where dealers are willing to take things off due to a gap in sales............Do you guys think $59k is a good price for a 2019 well optioned GT350?

FWIW, I've dealt on two cars in the last month. One was $65k sticker and had been on the lot for a year. They were willing to go down to $58k (but sold it out from under me), and that was before the lockdown. The most recent is just under $66k, everything except sport seats and special color. They're asking $61.5k, and that was also before the stay at home order. I've been in contact with them since and will likely offer $58k, but my job is in jeopardy, so I have to make sure I have income first.

Bottom line, YMMV on how much the dealer is willing to move, but I'd start lower and see how they react. It might also matter if they have 2020s in stock, that may help motivate them.

Hope all works out with your job my friend. Thanks for sharing your experience.

IMO it does not hurt to push untill you feel like they won't go any deeper. Don't be afraid to leave dealer and see if they call you back in a day or two.

Thanks
Thank you, yeah plan on casting a little further out, hopefully they bite.

Oh, and you can also compare pricing on other cars in the area and use that as bargaining leverage.

Go to the Ford site, work your way to "check inventory" on GT350s. Enter your zip and a 100 mile radius. Choose a [preferably similar] car and click "dealer website", it will take you directly to that car on their website and *hopefully* they have a discounted price. You might be able to knock a few more dollars off just based on 'local' inventory, and not just what's at that specific dealer.

Good luck, and thanks for the well wishes.

I would shop around. I had a dealer in Mass offer me $5600 off MSRP back in November on a 2019, and that was with no further negotiation. It's a buyers market. Honestly I would probably push for $7K off on a 19 at this point.

Sorry I read this as a higher number.. Looks like a good deal. What options?

Below are the Options that are on the vehicle:

Tech Package = $2,000
Leather Sports seats = $495
Exposed Carbon Fiber Instrument Panel = $500
Painted Black Roof = $695
TOTAL Options = $3,690

I love the idea of stripes but my wife is super against them. Painted Black roof looks nice too so Im okay with that as a fallback.

I'd offer $55k and see where it goes. Of course if you can wait it out till end of the month that will increase their desire to deal.

Only 8 months ago you had to negotiate to not pay an ADM....to pay 59K for a 66K GT350, I don't think you'll do better then that. especially since your in the tri-state area.

In Utah, I could've bought a loaded 2019 for $59k AND they were willing to offer 90 days no payments. If you search now, you'll find $56K and $57K loaded 2019 models. I'd push for $55K, which is about a 5K premium to new 2018 GT350s right now.

Holy cow, thatā€™s my exact preferred spec....breathtaking in my opinion. Iā€™m not a stripe fan either, especially in ruby red tinted clear.
Once you paint correct and polish the heck out of that paint, you wonā€™t be able to stop looking at it in the sunlight.

I bought a loaded brand new 19 with every option except black roof for 58k flat. That was Jan 24th b4 all the stuff happening now. Dealers will probably go lower. Just offer 55k like the above poster said. Don't be afraid to walk away for a couple of days and see what they can/will do.
