Yes it will hold back the top end with the F150 Manifold. By 6500 rpms it's done. A tune will add some low end torque if you think it is lacking. With a tune it should pull to 7K but after that it drops off considerably, which is why the better breathing 2018/GT350/Cobra Jet manifolds are popular modifications.Got it, so my thoughts of adding the f150 mani to give me more power in the powerband that I'm in most of the time would actually hold the car back and limit top end ability?
IMO if really want to have some fun... add a CAI, some 47lb injectors and get an E85 race tune. That will give your car some balls and pull to redline like a freight train. Then if you get used to the high revving and want a little more, you can add a ported 2018 manifold or something like that and it will pull even harder up top. The high rpm pull is addicting, try it!
