Has anyone tried a 18 f150 manifold on a 15-17 gt? Looking at the hp specs it looks like roughly 20 hp 20 ft lbs over the 15 f150.

There was a thread in the F150 forums of someone who swapped the 2018 F150 manifold on their 2015-2017 F150 and saw a power boost. The 2018 F150 manifold is like the 2018 GT manifold, in that it’s not 100% plug and play like the 2015-2017 F150 manifold. You have to ask yourself, is it worth going through the trouble when you would gain so much more from 5,500rpms onward with the 2018 GT manifold.

True i guess the 18 gt is more tried and true. Was hoping for some hidden tq with f150. What kinda of gains are expected with the 18 gt manifold with boost

The 2015-2017 F150 manifold will give you more impressive torque numbers and the 2018 F150 manifold’s numbers will be even more impressive. Even though, it’s not going to overcome the 2018 GT manifold’s top end. The 2018 F150 manifold would give you a very fun stoplight to stoplight warrior though. Graph is from a 2018 F150.

People will say both. You have a procharged setup, which is top end power. Why not go with the manifold that has increased power where your going to be running the car?

If I'm just putting around in traffic 300ft lbs. of torque is plently. To me I'd rather have the 40 extra HP up top, then the 40/50 extra ft.lbs of torque down low. But its all personal preference, but at that point, why not just get a diesel if they want low end torque so bad?

Is a 13-17 F150 manifold actually plug and play? I thought you still had to install lockouts and maybe something else to use it.

yes, simple install. no lockouts, hose rearranging or anything. Can be done in 30 minutes or less.

I call BS on the stock pull. That tuner is trying to make it seem like their tune is greater than it actually is. My 2016 put down 380whp and the 2018s are around 415whp stock.

But I digress - forget the F150 manifold. Just downshift.

I think you mite have missed the part I said it was a dyno of a 2018 F150. Stock tune maximizes torque/fuel economy and not horsepower. I provided it simply so you could see the difference between the 18 F150 manifold and 18 GT manifold.

Pretty sure the trucks have a different set of cams in them as well for the 18+ model years that emphasizes low end torque production.

Correct. Truck manifold and cams for truck things (towing, hauling).
