This is interesting. Fortunately after 9,000 miles, I still have not gotten plagued by the "tick". We shall see if this remains true once I get my tune with the Procharger.

Im from the club that says if you cant afford to fix it dont mod it!!

Thats not to say you cant own a mustang but just be smart about the mods you choose and dont be a whiny vagina.

Got a warranty? Send it! Drive the car and enjoy it. Obviously Ford only cares to address things after the fact.

Or mod it and be prepared to eat the costs alone with it should something goes wrong! That goes for amy .odded car I dont care what emblem it wears!!

Gotta pay to play. Lastest and greatest is going to have some quirks of its own and staying with the latest and greatest is NEVER cheap.

+1...Voided my warranty at 900 miles

Did you see the case of the base F-150 shipping with a single Raptor driver seat? No idea how NO ONE saw that before it hit the dealers lot. If something that big can make it through, anything can. If I remember a GT got GT350, or another years tails in one case also.
Seriously, have you seen the Dearborn assembly plant in action? Go tour it and then tell me what you see. Number one, the machines and people, are amazing. The number of combinations that you can get are mind-blowing. Each platform the truck moves on is digitally numbered and along with that number each station, from seatbelts, to seat sliding glass/nonsliding, is dictated by the build computer. If one wrong seat, out of almost 1 million vehicles times 250,000 combinations of Fseries is a Travesty, we need to all move to "Perfectland". Oh and if you locate this place please be sure to share it's location with the rest of us 6G members. I'm sure when and if my 18 5.0 has either systemic or an isolated problem, I will get it addressed. Had my dual tank 1990 F150's fuel transfer assembly replaced under recall and it was 2003. I also had my Prius drive battery replaced, $4,300 7 years into ownership for no cost as Toyota noted assembly irregularities in some. So defects happen, and until I find "Perfectland" I'll expect them from anything I buy.

So you're telling me out of the dozen + eyes that were laid on the inside of that truck, including the people that had to drive it out of the factory to the lot, then from the lot to the delivery truck NO ONE could have seen that 1 seat was clearly out of place? If I remember it was also the ONLY leather seat in the truck, and it SAYS Raptor on it. So much for final inspection. Having a completely wrong, large, part is not a defect.

Heck I forgive the Focus RS head gasket problem easier than I forgive that seat. It's a lot harder to notice the difference.

Well, just took mine in, I've had the knock since the first few hundred miles. Had the tick too, that didn't worry me at all but this is totally different. I can upload a video later. Took 20 seconds for the service manager and tech to hear it and say "We're calling Ford, let me get you a rental". Stay tuned.

Right because some Vendors dont like when ask for proof instead of spewing claims with nothing to back it up much like you.
So Where can I find more info on this?
I spoke with a couple of tech's at my dealer when I ordered my 19, I also read it on here somewhere but I don't remember the post.

The point was imperfections, what to you and me seems obvious, ie; the Raptor seat error, isn't always that clear when it's covered in protective plastic from final seat assembly until it's at the dealer. (Imagine these two seats covered in plastic, and you can appreciate more how it's possible). It shouldn't have happened, but to paint everybody that came in touch with that truck as basic idiots isn't fair either. One seats a Raptor, one Leather Lariat.

This is semi frustrating to say the least. Part of me says drive it, it is under warranty, and see what happens. Ford may release a "reflash" at some point.

The other part of me says take it in and hope for a buy back and just move on.

The worst option as far as I'm concerned would be to get a replacement engine at this point since there doesn't appear to be a "fix" yet.

I've avoided the tick so far but the 2k rattle is there for sure. There isn't a way to drive around it with the 3.73's either. Highway speed puts you right at it. It is less noticeable in the higher gears but it's certainly still happening.

If Ford thought it was "normal" I'm sure by now they would have said as such and stopped replacing the motors.

Dude I just about had enough of you, what mods are done to your car ?

What have you ever done ? I bet I have forgotten more than you will ever know.

Having a Pine Tree air freshener in your car isn't considered a mod.

Why don't you do the world a favour and STFU.

I have not seen a cluster fuck as bad as this since the 6.0 Navistar engine..Than again with the 6.4
Ah yes, the infamous 6.0. I had an '05 F-250 4x4 with the "Six Point Oh Nooo!". That engine was tuned for more HP by Ford beyond the Navistar engine design. Then guys (like me) were adding tuners for more power and blowing head gaskets, oil coolers, etc. I had the head bolts replaced with ARP studs, and the turbo and oil cooler replaced under warranty. $100 tip to the Tech for installing the studs. So far, this doesn't seem to reach the same level of pain that the 6.0 debacle caused. Funny thing is that once the heads were studded, the turbo replaced, and the oil cooler replaced, my '05 ran just fine for 80,000 more miles. I like the 6.7 engine much better though, far more torque and no worries about reliability after 76,000 miles.

FWIW, no ticks or rattles from my '19 GT.
