Update:

Mike Levine (Ford North America Product Communications manager) just revealed the 2020 GT500 reveal date of January 14, 2019 at the Detroit Auto Show, on his twitter account. Along with this, Ford teased the date with a sneak peek at the upcoming 2020 GT500's supercharged 5.2-liter Predator engine.

Original Post:

Just saw a post that the GT500 will be officially revealed at NAIAS on 1/14/19. Not sure of the accuracy of the claim, but I sure do hope it is accurate so we can finally get some solid numbers on this thing.

Saw a picture of an original GT500 displayed with that date under it. Seems valid to me.

At least we have an actual public reveal date. I wonder how much info Ford Performance will actually share or will they keep teasing things like power numbers until closer to production.

May be a 2019 release date for a 2020 year model still... Probably going to be a late 2019 order opening if it does happen to be a 2019 release.

Good question, I would suspect they have some info, such as power figures and possibly some performance metrics. I bet price will be given later in the year

I was told a while back... by someone... that they are going to hit showrooms next year.

So unless that's changed, you might be able to get yours just in time for winter lol.

Basically the same timeline as the GT350. No surprises if that's accurate.

Makes me wonder if they're going to pull a full GT350 and have a super limited 2019 or 2020 year model run to get the car out there for testing/review before the "official" production run starts; more or less like they did in 2015 with the GT350.
