I see some injector and fuel system options on the beefcake racing vortech tuner kit https://www.teambeefcakeracing.com/bfspec2018vortechv3jt.html

I am just wondering for the 2018 mustangs, when they say injectors are included is that 8 injectors? Do people upgrade both sets of injectors on boosted 2018s or just 1 set?

At what point do the stock fuel pumps/system need to be boosted with a BAP?

At what point do you need to totally upgrade the system with new pumps?

What hp level are id1050's good for and what about 1300's? Thanks. I'm thinking the stock fuel system cant max out the id1050s even with a BAP but I really dont know, nor do I know what HP level 1050's should be good for on 2018s. Any information or advice would be appreciated.

for an 18, if your doing a blower, i would do a bap right away, never play with fuel. 1050's on an 18 will be good for probably 1100-1200 wheel. your going to be geting a few hundred wot hp from the DI system, so the 1050s will take you further.

your only upgrading the 8 port injectors, no di at this time, we are testing one of the upgraded di pumps in our 18, but still no injectors at this time.

if your going e85, i would recommend a level 1 fore outta the gate. with rails. if you don't have a whipple that has larger di rails already. the stock rails on a 11-17 could flow 9=9-50 wheel on e85, but not on an 18, we've done alot of testing and the rails are smaller.

we had been trying to do some lower hp #s with the DW drop in pump along with a bap. the problem were finding is it's hit or miss on holding the power, and in addition, once hot, the cars have hot crank issues, and will take some time to build pressure. the pump fits as the hat is the same, but the stock system doesn't work the same on an 18.

at the end of the day, we never play with fuel, you spend 30-50k on a car, 7-10k on a blower setup, 3k on wheels and tires, 1k on suspension, then skimp on fuel. that always seems to be the trend, and the car lives on air and fuel.

feel free to give me a ring and i can help direct you the best way to go for your power adder / level and your goals.

Our 2018 with the complete Whipple stage 2 kit using their cal, supplied 37lb injectors and DW 415lph easily supported the 755rwhp we made on pump gas. Soon after that we switched to E85 and ran the 3.625" pulley with a custom tune from Lund Racing. We added some ID1300's and a JMS fuel pump booster at the same time to prepare for the next stage. We ultimately didn't get a dyno number on that setup as the dyno was having some issues however the car tuned great and went [email protected] and the logs look great.

We've since swapped to the 10 rib setup with a 3.75" upper / 20% lower and put down 941rwhp on E85. For this setup we installed our full triple pump , dual regulated return style system.

For many the pump upgrade / fuel pump booster will be adequate with a larger injector. That's on pump gas. If you plan on running E85 and supporting that power I'd do the fuel pump booster, pump upgrade and some ID1050's. We decided on the 1300's as we plan on making more power on E85 then the 1050's were designed for.

If you have any other questions please feel free to give us a call.

Thanks, Jared
