So, install was easy. I could see fishing the front bar out would be a pain if you’re not on a lift. First impressions is that the car definitely stays flatter in the turns. I didn’t really get to push the car on my way home but it definitely felt nice. Ride didn’t change much a bit stiffer but nothing crazy.

Edit: Buying the front brackets was the best decision I’ve made lol.

Good to hear. I'll be installing my GT350R bars soon.

If you guys want me to do some basic bar calculations for you, I'll gladly provide the rates so you can compare stiffness (% differences) using the method Norm mentioned a few pages back.

I've already got many of the numbers in my spreadsheet.

For the bars I do not have in house, I'll need some measurements to get the rates.

Do keep in mind though, testing a bar in a fixture with the front saddles/mounts will show a significantly different rate than the calculation. Calculations are for comparison purposes only, and even then, they can be misleading because not all front mounts have the same deflection.

I would love that! :headbang:

A comparion between the GT350 and BMR bars would be fantastic.

Just noting that Fred Puhn's formula provides results that are inherently a few % high because there are a few more deflection effects he chose to ignore. That's separate from things like bushing compliance and bracket flexibility.

I'd really like to know what a realistic shear modulus might be for the actual alloys used.

Has anyone tried urethane bushings from summit or jegs, they have multiple 34mm but they really don't specify outside dimensions. I ordered the from gt350 bar, the parts guy said it comes with bushings, gave him those numbers above and he said they aren't available. bar should be in, in a day or 2

Are the GT350 endlinks any stronger than the standard PP ones? Enough people have mentioned bent front end links and was curious to see if the GT350 ones held up better.

They're the same part. They still bend like bananas sometimes.

Still loving the GT350R sway bars.

Randy Probst discussing the Performance Pack 2's
  • Front and rear anti-roll bars that resist twist by an additional 12 and 67 percent, respectively vs the PP1.
"The racer in me would put a little more front anti-roll bar in it, to tame a little too much oversteer in the entry phase, and later when I go to power."

I think the stiffer GT350R sway bars do the trick and make a great PP1 upgrade.
