BTW, you don’t have to buy a Premium to get the Active Exhaust. You can go with the base Mustang GT with the 301A package & Active Exhaust. I came close to getting my Mustang that way, but opted to go with the Premium, 401A package & Active Exhaust. Either way, I love my Active Exhaust. Sounds pretty damn good for stock, and don’t plan on changing it for now (might go with an X-pipe later on).
There's a chance I may be mixing up American Muscle's videos of modified 2018 AE systems, but if I am recalling correctly, you may want to go H-Pipe over X-Pipe. I think I remember the X-Pipe sounding more-or-less the same with an extra 10-15-ish gain in decibel, where H-Pipe gained the same amount of decibels but also became deeper sounding and overall meaner (IMO) and was almost more akin to the old 4.6L with an aftermarket exhaust on the old New Edge Mustangs (say what you want about their power and moding capabilities, with a good exhaust those things sounded friggin amazing). BUT, everyone's tastes are certainly different! Personally, I prefer a deep rumble that you feel vibrate your entire chest cavity at lower rpms, some may prefer a higher pitched V8, though. :)

cousin has it on his 18 GT and it sounds horrible in comparison to my Roush axles with ford racing x pipe. That being said my set up is obnoxiously loud so take it for what its worth

My take was that the X-pipe was 7 to 10+dB louder with a more raspy euro/sports car sound. The H-pipe was 3 to 7+dB louder with a deeper, old school big-block sort of sound. I'm more partial to the screaming sports car sound, it reminds me of the old Cosworth DFV Formula 1 engines of the 1970s. [ame=""]Cosworth DFV Warming up [/ame]

Now need to see if anyone will start offering larger tips to weld on the factory AE system, but I see the valve is pretty close to the end of the stock tip so it would be tricky to cut and fit a decent 4" double walled tip. I like the factory system, but the corsa/maganflow/borla tips look so much better.

I like the industrial look of the new quad tips. But when you come to wash them watch out, they are sharp.
OMG, as in surgical knife sharp! Cut my ring finger twice on those damn things. Destroyed a wash mitt already, only had the car for a month! Seriously debating on taking a file to them and knocking the edges down.
