Show me a 911 that’s 40k or even a cayman that’s 40k, I’ll wait.

Also who TF is Dave pericak? And what does a 2015 mustang have to do with the 2018? Sounds like you are regurgitating magazine drivel.
Haha, who tf is Dave Pericak!

Cayman can be got for circa ÂŁ40k

Agreed. There's a lot of posts on here with people just regurgitating what someone else has said instead of having first hand experience.

Seven speed Porsche PDK for example. To say they are not competitors is nonsense. If people want a performance car they will look at most performance cars within their budget. Even Dave Pericak said they compared and tested the 2015 Mustang against Porsche. It doesn't matter if it's 10 speed or not, people want a gearbox that does the job properly.
We're not talking about the 2105 car, are we?

There is no Porsche that is a competitor for a Mustang. The Cayman starts at $55,300.00, with no back seat, and no PDK that you can't stop babbling on about. A Mustang starts at $25,585.00, almost $30K cheaper. A Cayman is a SPORTS CAR, a Mustang is a SPORTS COUPE or a GT. They're not in the same market, don't appeal to the same people, never have and never will. A Porsche is a high-end, premium vehicle. A Mustang is a Ford, the very company that created mass manufacturing of vehicles at a low, low price.

The 10SPD does the job properly for all you know. So please just stop posting about a transmission you've never driven, in a vehicle you've never even driven. And stop trying to compare two companies and products that have absolutely NOTHING to do with one another.

If you’re going to cherry pick used prices, why spend 40k?
I can find a used 2015 mustang gt for firesale prices at 20k or maybe even less.

Point is nobody is cross shopping those cars when there is a huge price difference.

I think we need a Safe Space for the 10 speed auto snowflakes. Remember we must not critise the 10 speed and upset the snowflakes.

Just because . . . A10 shifted at 7000 rpm and again at 3000 rpm for comparison. The red diamonds are the rev drops theoretically experienced assuming no torque converter or clutch slip.

NOTE: 26" tires and 3.55 axle gearing assumed.

Little over 1500 miles on my 18 and I am very happy with the decision to go with the 10A. Car does not hunt at all for gears. Could be that pretty much all of my driving is highway (75+). My buddy swears by manuals (13' ZR1, 17' HellCat, '02 Camaro) and he loves this trans. I'm convinced the cat is getting traded for a ZL1 with the 10A.

I think most auto guys are ok with criticism.

As long as the person offering criticism actually is basing opinions off first hand experience and not talking out their ass.

Snowflake.

Well the safe space will certainly be in front of the slow manual drivers. I’m sorry I love manuals as much as all of us do but this 10 speed is fast as fuck lol

Is this a Ford trans or a Gm trans, I mean i know its a calaberation but which company had the original idea for this transmission! It looks just like a 6r80 so I'm leaning towards Ford having the original idea. Am i wrong?
