That was more so due to the 2008 GM Bankruptcy and scuttling of Pontiac and Saturn, not lack of interest. And worse, GM was only building the cars in Australia (Holden) due to the tax breaks, which is why GM and Ford both quit manufacturing cars in Australia when both companies really were...

Basically the guy a Ford that oversaw many parts of S550 Mustang development and Ford Performance for the last decade.
The change between a 275/40 and 285/40 is very small. Running through my calculator, the .20" additional diameter from the 285/40 tire would be like changing from 3.73 gears to 3.69 gears, giving you a 1% variance on the speedometer. In other words, gearing will effectively be unchanged.
What...
Just confirmed on Nitto's website that the 285 min is a 9.5" wheel, and the 295 min in a 10.0" wheel. See for yourself, link below, then scroll down to specs for the 20" tires:

That aside, the mold release agent...
New tires can be squirrely, making the car feel like the entire rear-end is floating around left and right. I'm surprised you're just now feeling it.
Nitto's on the rear, what's on the front? Stock Pirelli's?
Three issues likely going on here:

This was documented a long time ago, there is no problem installing 15" 6-piston Brembo's with the 20" Foundary wheels.

A 285/35R19 has only 0.10" shorter sidewall than the standard stock 255/40R19 front tire on the GT and GT PP.
Regarding ride comfort, you'll probably notice a little less comfort from 1.20" wider tires with 2.40" of additional contact area, and wheels that increase the front track by 1.40"...
You don't need wider tires, you just need better tires.
Grab a set of Michelin Pilot Super Sport or the newest model, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S, you will have all the grip and handling you'll need for the street.
Unless you're putting down serious power, over 700hp, and have a habit of...
Just stated in another thread, I had Michelin Pilot Super Sport 275/40ZR19 tires on my Roushcharged 2015 GT PP, grip was outstanding and rarely broke loose unless the road conditions or surface was crap. Granted, I didn't disable TC, as with that much power, I always soft launched into a roll...
On my 2015 GT PP, the MPSS were sticky enough in OEM sized 275/40ZR19, that when I installed my Roushcharger there was still enough grip that I didn't need a wider tire to maintain grip.
The Michelin Pilot Super Sport and newer Michelin Pilot Sport 4S are great tires. I've installed them on my...
OP - To the brake squealing issue, there are hundreds and hundreds of threads and replies on just about every automotive forum regarding performance brakes and squealing. Even with Ceramics, noise can still occur, though with Ceramic pads you give up lots of braking power.
What most people...
Yes, many slotted rotors, especially the large wide slots that go from edge to edge, will make a little noise, and you will likely feel this in the pedal.
OEM cars that come with slotted brakes usually have very small and narrow slots, and are not usually done in a manner that has a single...
