OP, I think that you will know when you drive the Shelby on saturday, which car you envision yourself in for the long haul. I have envy for Shelby's, so if you're in the same boat then go for it! You may have insight, but i'm surprised to see that you believe you can still pull in 50K for your car. In your defense, you only asked what we pick in comparing car to car lol.

You won't get 50k for yours, but if you do trading for a GT350 is a no brainer. GT350 is the best looking, best handling, and best sounding Mustang ever made.

Ok guys. I have a question for you all. I currently have a 2016 Roush stage 3. Would you trade the Roush for a GT350. I love both cars but the Shelby seems more special to me. I would be loosing 150 hp and straight line speed but it’s a Shelby. I dunno what to do. Going to talk to a local dealer Saturday about a grabber blue 2017 GT350.
What will the Shelby do that your current car doesn't do? How will you use the Shelby differently than your current car? I wouldn't get caught up in the Shelby hype if you aren't tracking the car.

I would think about how you use your car. Is it a DD? Garage Queen? Track monster? I thought about Shelby but I wanted a DD from home to work 20 miles each way. Went with a GT instead. Shelby would be overkill for a DD. Are you in to status or practicality. Shelby is overrated IMHO.

I agree with this. Everyone comes here asking for advice without providing the full picture. The answer to almost ever question like this is "it depends". No one can tell you what you intangibly value, only what they do. I would personally love to have a Shelby GT350, it is special. But I would not want to daily drive it. I would feel too guilty about it, but my GT I would. I am not sure that the engine in the GT350 was build around the daily driver usage. If I were you in what I think is your situation, I would keep the Roush. If I were buying an "extra" car for beautiful day weekend twist turning roads, cars n coffee, or occasional track days, I would go with a GT350.

So again, depends. If you would like to take the time to explain your exact situation, you will get more relevant answers.

I'd just keep the Roush. You're gonna lose money on the trade and lose HP and straight line speed.

However, if none of those things matter to you and collectibility or track fun does then go GT-350.

I quess you have to like Grabber Blue. I think it’s the ugliest color ever so I’d stay with what you already have. But hey, it’s your money. I’m happy with what I have and wouldn’t want both of those cars so I’m the real winner here.

( maybe I’d need to see the Roush in person. I like the color and I see that it’s real fast. My car loves getting tickets so not sure I need faster )

Value wise the Shelby will hold more. I hate to say this, but the Roush at the end of the day is a Mustang with speed shop parts on it. The Roush may carry a little more weight because of the relationship with Ford, but in the end, it's as I say.

Now the next decision here is "why" do you want to go the 350 route ? Only you can truthfully answer that. I had a 11 Shellby. 700+ power. I did it because honestly I wanted the newer tech, and while car was fast and powerful, I honestly stop using the car for that purposed. I stopped going to the strip as much after I got my 10 sec pass, I did not really street race to begin with, but that stopped as well, and truthfully I grew tired of having to have my other tires (DR) on to enjoy the full potential of what I had did to the car.

I decided Hmm....With the 350 I can drive it. I mean really drive it. The performance of it is crazy. Sure I modded, but I can put that power down and its still plenty fast. But in the end, the new tech, and styling took me to buy this model, and most importantly I still enjoying DRIVING my cars. The GT350 leaves a huge koolaid grin on my face every bloody time.

Those are the questions you have to look inward for....to make that final decision.

I don't think u'll be happy if u switch. I also think ur getting bored with the roush. Why not hang onto it a little longer and trade when the GT500 comes out late next year. Then u will have no regret.

That seems like really good advice to me. I love my GT350, but I've never been a big power / spin the tires / straight line guy. The GT350 doesn't really get into its power band on the street unless you are breaking the law. Unless you don't really like the big power and torque that the Roush makes, then maybe the GT350 is more for you.

I agree the GT350 is special though. It's the first car I've owned for quite a while that I like more after 2 years than when I first bought it. Usually after one year I want a change.

Keep the Roush as a daily uber driver. Get the GT350 as your toy. Problem solved.
