Kenny Bell Thoughts

I realize that this forum is pro whipple but would like a subjective thought on anyone that either had both, driven both, or worked on both. I have been given to opportunity to buy the KB at a discount but when I informed my mechanic he said the KB is old technology and was not objective due to being a whipple dealer. Thoughts anyone? The difference in both systems is significant. I realize you get what you pay for but would like to see if the gains is worth the price. This has always been a knowledgeable forum and would really appreciate the opinion from our knowledgable members. Thank you

Ironically, Whipple uses the older 3x5 rotor technology. ;)

Kenne Bell is a great option, honestly. We run a ton of them, and have a few 9 second full weight street cars that are daily driven.

I have friend that runs with me ( drag racing ) and he has a Kenne Bell , it runs great since he did a 6r80 swap .. He is very close to my numbers on his E85 tune .. His system has been trouble free ...

The whipple kits are really popular on this forum, and especially popular on the dyno threads, but i'm wondering if theres actually a real difference in 1/4 mile times and mph? Tons of threads on whipples and not as many for KB even though i'm sure there are plenty of them out there. Would be interesting to see a direct comparison. From what i've seen, they both perform pretty well and I wouldn't let the dyno numbers get to you too much. I just orderd a 3.2 KB from boostworks and will let you know how I stack up against my friends whipple.

I don't think you can go wrong with either choice and I will follow that up with it depends on what your looking to do. If you want a blower to have a blown car and enjoy the hell out of it I would take the significant deal you say you have been offered and not look back.

I am sure it will go 9's on the 2 step even with my lazy first gear/rear end combo (2.66/3.31$
I think that's the fastest " non shop" manual car on this forum -boost only .

There is a TVS that has gone 9.5 but I am sure that was with nitrous .

As for power-wise, my lil 3.2 should be floating around 800whp at 8k rpm on plain jane 93. Made 711 on a mustang dyno at 7500 but the power doesnt drop off. I'll throw it back on a dynojet at some point, but no complaints at all. Solid blower for sure as I've had it for almost 2 years now daily driven

Thats pretty incredible for 93. Hoping to hit around 700 whp when mine comes in with 93 and some mak cat deletes in a manual.

18-19 psi per my boost gauge.

Not sure , I would have to ask him ...But he is a sharp guy and always seems to buy the best parts for his Mustang , so my gut tells me 3.2 ..
