We just spoke to them this morning in regards to this upgrade. They are still working on finalizing all of the components, but we should know soon. As soon as we get all of the information, we will be sure to let everyone know.

Per whipple, they have 11-14 right now on the TB. making 15-17 and GT350 now (about 3-4 weeks out).

they are making the air tube now as well. Still working on pricing with the tube needed.

There is a $150 labor charge to machine the inlet on new kit purchase. If the customer already has the kit, the blower has to be sent in to have the inlet machined (same $150 charge) but will also require a rebuild since the SC has to be taken apart to do the work.

Any indications on the tuning side? Hopefully they offer a revised calibration for those upgrading. That will be most important I think to continuing their reputation on this platform as such a solid tune.

Or if not their own calibration at least provide the throttle body data so other tuners can take a stab at it.

They won't be providing any tuning for it, at least that is how it is right now. The few times I've talked to them, they always mention a custom tune would be required. In addition to that you will need a 11-14 TB as a donor because the 2015+ electronics won't work.

Thanks, makes it a pass for me, really too bad. The amount of reliance in these tunes on having proper throttle body data is just too high for me as a moderate tuner to want to spend weeks tuning it. Hopefully Whipple will realize they will probably sell less than half the amount of throttle bodies they would sell if they provided a new calibration or provided the actual data publicly.

I have no interest in having someone remote tune my car and have a locked tune I cannot modify as I grow the car and make modifications. Nor do I want to give up my flare tool end user adjustability.

Would we still need a donor TB if its the first time we are buying the kit?

As far as I know right now you will need to buy the 11-14 throttle body separately to swap over the electronics. Whipple is still putting the kit together, so we will know for sure when all of the information is released, but I've been told you need to source it.
