Thanks, makes it a pass for me, really too bad. The amount of reliance in these tunes on having proper throttle body data is just too high for me as a moderate tuner to want to spend weeks tuning it. Hopefully Whipple will realize they will probably sell less than half the amount of throttle bodies they would sell if they provided a new calibration or provided the actual data publicly.

I have no interest in having someone remote tune my car and have a locked tune I cannot modify as I grow the car and make modifications. Nor do I want to give up my flare tool end user adjustability.
The 150 does not make sense for pump gas stock engines, the 132mm only helps at the highest HP the SC can make. Our EO covers the 132mm therefore we don't plan on offering a cal for the 150 as this is designed for highly modified or race applications.

As far as I know right now you will need to buy the 11-14 throttle body separately to swap over the electronics. Whipple is still putting the kit together, so we will know for sure when all of the information is released, but I've been told you need to source it.
Which 11-14 TB would be need?

I believe just a stock 2011-2014 mustang GT throttle body is what you need. You're just using it for the electronics.

Is that because the 11-14 had a stronger motor in the TB or is it something else?

Do we send the tb in for them to swap the electronics or would we have to do it?

You'll do the swap. It's very easy to do.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

The 11-14 uses different electronics than the 15-17. So the throttle bodies for each of those models are machined differently to accept the electronics for that specific model year electronics. At the moment Whipple only has the 11-14 style TB in stock. The 15-17 is a few weeks out. However if you want the 150mm setup now for the 15+ you'll just purchase the 11-14 model from whipple and use 11-14 electronics onnit.

I've never even looked into methanol. This is the first supercharged car I have had. Haha. So it's all somewhat new to me! I know on 93 right now, i'm seeing the car adding anywhere between 2.5-3 degrees of timing ( assuming -knock is adding still )

A little late to this post.....

But the tuning school compared 93+100% methanol injection (no water mixed) to E85 (from barrel not pump)

The result? 93+meth was down about 5HP on their Z06 compared to E85.

And it was better than Pump E85

There's A LOT of missing info there, definitely don't want to sidetrack this thread, but just like this throttle body upgrade is only going to benefit guys in the upper tier of power making (17-18psi+ 900whp guys) the margin of meth+pump versus e85 power making gap gets drastically bigger the higher up in boost and power you go. You hit a pure volume limit as well on the meth+pump setups; as you get higher in power you need more fuel, which means more 93 pump gas, which to keep the same octane level you then need more meth. There comes a point where you cannot supply enough meth through a normal meth injection kit.

On a lazy 6-700whp boosted setup, I could see only getting that much difference in power, as that setup doesn't make use of either fuel to its full potential.
