Time for an update guys..... I was happy but upset. I went to the track and on one of the passes ran an 11.6, which was not the fastest of the day, but have not bested my 11.30 run. On that 11.6 run I had a really bad 60 ft! 1.86 to be exact. If the car would have hooked just the same as before it would have been an 11.0-11.teen. The car proved on that pass it has it in it. But we do not live in a world of putting the best timeslips together to make that theoretical pass. I'm all about getting it done.
Today we are having the new Exedy Twin disc and WOT box on the car in preparation for Bowling Green. It's crunch time. Finish Line Performance states that there won't be as much of "riding" the clutch with it now, more of on or off. This may help or hurt, but one thing is it will be more consistent! It seems like with the stock clutch, it's hard to be consistent in the slip and throttle control.
I'm thinking about setting the two step at 6000 and going from there. This will be the final changes for a bit, as it seems when you keep changing things your always chasing your tail and never getting use to the car.
Also FLP recommended going ahead with the Viking shocks as with this new setup they said I will need them. I almost hate putting those on as I love how it handles on the street!
