[MENTION=31991]EviL5.0[/MENTION] What have you done on 93? I'm in a toss up of which direction i want to take my build (way in the future) between NA and FI. The thing is, i'm in NJ. We don't believe in corn juice. there's literally 2 gas stations in the entire state, neither of which are near me.

Anyway, 93 is my only option for daily driving. Have you done anything with it?

Made 509 on 93 octane.

The Exedy is in... Stock Clutch and flywheel weight 47.8lbs. Exedy 38.9.

That is a 9lb loss.

Also the bottom of the shifter was making contact with the DS loop, maybe one of those knock gremlins.

The clutch is more On/Off. I stalled it out a couple of times or chirp the tires off a light. Here is the Awesome news, the motor is so much smoother in the revs! Night and day to me. I compare it being like a circular saw and now it is a buzz saw. Placebo effect?? I don't think so.

The WOT box is installed and we set it to 5500. Sounds awesome on it and I may try [MENTION=16083]GTBOB[/MENTION] ET Street R Biased ply. If I can hit it hard and hook, it will be a Huge difference!

Time for an update:

It appears my quest for 10's NA has just taken several steps backwards. While in Bowling Green, I shattered 4th gear in my MT-82. They said it was in chunks on the magnet.

I'm not going to mess around with the MT-82 and worry about breaking it again. Monday I will be ordering a Tremec Magnum XL, thus making it harder for 10's. The gear ratio's do not appear to be favorable for 1/4 purposes. To help out I will be also adding a 4.09 gear in the car, since that is the steepest they make. If the calculators and my figures are right this will be the following:

4.09, third 1.46 @ 8000 rpm will be around 108mph and shifting to 4th will drop me to around 5500. 1:1 ratio... and at 6000 will be 118mph and 128 @ 6500 which is well below my peak hp. The good news is I will only need roughly 1000 rpm.

Who knows the car may like it, but it doesn't look good.:confused:

I went to pull 4th and it was not there, didn't feel a thing. I had mass wheelhop on that run because of untreated track (NMRA Officials) had not shown up yet. Exedy ET 04 XD with a sprung hub. I think it was too much clutch or wheelhop killed it.

Had a magnum in my last paxton car, loved it but my auto has spoiled me so im probably never gonna go stick again!

I would love to see someone swap a Getrag V160(Supra turbo trans) since they are strong enough for 7's in the 1/4 mile and have very similar ratios to the MT-82(1:1 5th) plus a neat semi-fixed shifter assembly.

I think I'm gonna stay with the stock clutch for that reason alone. If it where's out I'll replace it with another oem one. I think the clutch is the cheapest weakest link.
