Good luck. I declined the extra wheel warranty. I'm using 6gr wheels for the street to avoid this.
Great choice in wheels, you will definitely be avoiding this type of issue protecting your investment.

Update: Picked up a voicemail from dealer on Friday saying claim has been processed and they received authorization to order a new wheel. No ETA yet...said they'd be in touch next week. The only thing not covered was the valve stem so $36.43 will come out of pocket. I am curious to see what lead time is given for delivery of the replacement CF wheel!

Ask them how much to keep the old wheel.

Yeah I am definitely going to see what they say about the old wheel. Will keep you guys posted on how things go.

If nothing else so far it appears us NoVA guys have a solid service option from my experience thus far. If things continue to go smoothly will likely wrap this thread up with a plug for the dealer service folks.

Spoke on the phone with service adviser at the dealer yesterday. She advised the damaged wheel will go back to Ford for analysis/refurb. Ford advised her it is slated to be patched and then installed on HR871 (totally messin Tom  )

But for real I will not be able to take the old wheel home. Also out of curiosity inquired about the total of the claim...$3,200!!!

Perhaps most surprising is ETA of the new wheel is 3-5 business days. Will be very pleasantly surprised if that ends up true.

$3,200 isn't so horrible compared to a made to order set of HRE forged etc. Not that I'd want to pay that for either wheel.

Sorry you had to go through this OP but glad the info is here. Definitely adding this warranty for the wheels. I'm probably picking up a set of forgelines but I want to drive it with the carbons on too. I mean half the reason I bought it.

Exciting Conclusion

Replacement wheel arrived at dealer last Monday Sep 25th...so right at 2wks from time the claim was approved. Took the baby in yesterday and replacement went smoothly. My cost = $51.00 for the valve stem kit. Total claim was $3,444. So even with ripoff price I paid the $1,850 for the TireCare warranty was well worth it.

For those in NoVA area I have been working with Jerry's Ford in Leesburg. My service adviser was Susan Bushey and master technician Bruce Meachem. They have provided phenomenal customer service. Bruce had removed my rear shipping spacers a month or two ago that the original dealer missed during PDI. He also has escalated the clutch reservoir line issue and put a replacement kit on order for me. This is on backorder so will take it in later for that effort.

They kept my car indoors, made sure only Bruce drove it and honored my request to pass on a wash. Good folks doin work. :ford::headbang:

Thanks for passing this along - I live in Oakton and will use Jerry's if I need any warranty work done - I don't get a great feeling from basic service experiences at my local Ted Britt.

Has anyone confirmed if you buy the car used while under factory warranty if you can get wheel/tire care?

Wheel/tire care is only at time of original purchase and can only be added by original selling dealer.
