There is a foam piece there yes. Its about 1/4 inch thick

Yes. You can semi-disable it via Forscan or unplugging the mic in the headliner.

Thanks ... wish I could access that end easier to see what effect removing the foam would have ... louder I'm sure but not sure if it'd be a nice louder.

A set of long tubes will bring some rumble to your cabin. Lol

You can access it behind the gas pedal as that is home I put the plug in mine when I removed the tube
I bet if you put some needle nose pliers in there you can remove it

Out of curiosity, have you ever disconnected the sound tube from the intake (and plug it) to see (hear) the difference? I mean to verify if the sound you like was coming from the sound tube.

Yes, there is a foam plug. Hard to try with it removed since the firewall end is a pain to remove and probably harder to reinstall. I removed mine the hard way (for the weight savings with the nut gone, LoL) but most people just grab and yank which makes reinstalling harder.

I know what you mean. I went to test drive my grabber blue, saw it in person and had to have it. That color isn't for everybody, but man does it stand out.
