Sometimes I just can't leave well enough alone. I got a call to spec out a 17R at MSRP. Kind of fell into my lap. Now it looks like I need to sell my current ride.

Should I do it

Yes!
You won't live in peace within yourself if you don't (unless the divorce will cost you more).
If you and your brother don't want the R I'll take it.....

If you're happy with your current ride I would say no. I don't think it's worth it except for bragging rights unless you're tracking it often. JMO.

Wow ...I would take it. Very difficult to get one at msrp...would not think twice about it. You will not take a huge hit at msrp if you decide to sell and you will have a very rare car to enjoy. Do it and don't look back..

I know you have a lot of work into your current 350, however.... If MY18 is the last year, then you would have one of 1500 in the world.

Furthermore, you knew when you started work on your current 350 that you rarely get back the time and money you put into modifications.

You have one sweet ride now, but the R is much rarer and sought after than the 15,000 standard 350s that will be out there.

I'm in a similar situation. My 350 is my baby. However if I want the R and the 500 that's coming, it has to go. Also, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to keep both IMHO.

Good luck bro. Oh, and as for your spring group buy, I think I'm out for the reason specified above. A new baby is on its way.

A problem many would love to have. Good luck with your decision....can't go wrong either way. That said, I doubt you will ever be able to replicate the emotional connection you have with your car. I went for the next best thing once and kind of regretted it.

Regret is a word better left unsaid.

Should've - Could've - Would've...

Think about that. " Didn't , because....." Give us your Top Ten Reasons.

Get the "R".

If I was in to serious track use, emotionally had to have the "best" or most exclusive of something, was willing to put up with a noisier and stiffer ride, and/or was interested in it holding its value for the price for eventual sale or trade in and could afford it, then the answer is clearly 4+ positive for an MSRP buy. Personally wouldn't do it if it dropped in my lap because the regular GT350 is more than enough for me but understand why you are tempted.

How did you get a R at MSRP offer??

Adding up what I paid for mine with tax, title, registration, paint protection, and minor add-one, And what I would lose when trying to sell it, it becomes a losing proposition, probably lose around $10-15K. But for a R at sticker, I would spend the extra money to acquire one.

DO IT! You know you want to...even though you have a lot done to your car and it's amazing as it sits right now.

That "R" though...
