No, I'm trying to decide which option to go. Ben claims with my power level the RST and his built tranny will work. I do intend on launching the car in the end, and power shifting
What's your power level now vs end goals?

I plan on sticking around where I'm at for a while. I'm working on getting the power to the pavement next. That 711whp is on a mustang dyno @ 7500 rpm. When I stopped the pull the power curve was still climbing hard. So I'm assuming the cars in the 750-800whp range on a typical dyno jet with me spinning the motor to 8000.

I know the right answer is RXT/6060
But if the RST/stage2 works consistently with just cooldowns between passes, I'm perfectly fine with that. I just don't like wasting money

Oh yea, pretty sure we all hate buying the same shit twice haha. In all honesty, the 6060 is superior in every way over mt82 and with the money you already have in the car and still need to spend, I wouldn't try and save a few dollars now just to spend more IF the mt82 goes or you up the power.

Like you said don't waste the money on RST MT82.

A built Mt vs 6060 can't be that different in price? You still need to buy a twin disc and drive shaft, so only wasted money is the MGW, but if you do the swap before you blow the 82 you can sell it and the MGW to help with the cost.

I would agree on this as well. The other thing to consider is you have a PP car...so 3.73 rear. With the MT82 good luck with finding traction as well as the killer shifting into 5th on the 1320'. With the gearing in the TR6060 the 3.73's would work perfect. I hate wasting money as well but seem to be very good at it..:headbonk: I went through two MT82's before buying Ben's TR6060. Could have been money ahead. Buy the right clutch once and be done..IMO.

When my MT82 gives up the ghost, this is what I'm gonna do. I'd rather buy nice, than buy twice.

Ugh, 95% sure i'm just going to go RXT and just get it resplined when I need a new tranny. I sent another message to bill to see what he says, no replies yet. So for now, clutch, then DS then halfshafts before I look for something sticky.

That's what I would do. That way it's not such a big hit. Just be ready to drop the coin and be with out your car for three weeks. That's the only down side.

I just burned up a RST after 1000 miles. Pretty dissapointed. Never tracked it once just street rolls from 3rd. Car makes 750whp. I know thats a bit more then what it's rated for but really? 1000 miles? The stock clutch lived at 700whp for 13000 miles yet a twin disk slipped every single pull. McLoud don't seem too interested or care about the failure when I called them. Just blamed it on my cars power level. Pretty bad a 435hp stock single disk put the RST to shame.

Yup. I’m approaching 10,000 miles with the blower and stock clutch. Sorry to hear this man. And to think I was gonna go RST instead of its big brother...

I'm not even going RXT now. I'm just going straight to Mantic!
