If the GT goes to a V6, they will loose the majority of V8 buyers.

I'd buy a frikin Camaro before I bought a V6 anything.

I think they would have to sell it as an option and test the market. I feel very confident if the halo mustang was a V6 tt but wasn't much better then the competition a lot of people would go to the camaro, corvette or mopar V8 cars.

They won't get rid of the V8 in the Mustang. The EB V6 may be the top dog as far as factory total horsepower, but they won't get rid of the V8, just like they haven't in the F-150. Too many buyers would defect.

That will definitely be the target (to be more than a smidge under 4000 lbs). Weight will come off the unsprung mass primarily, with some added in the engine compartment.

DCT on average is less than an auto but how much more than a manual in this case?
Ford needs to move that 35+ lb battery to the rear, no iffs, ands or butts;). Even if you gotta add weight of the wire, its sooo much better to have it balanced:cheers:. Relocate anything possible to the butt! The supercharger and coolers are gonna add about 200 lbs+.

The ZL1 gains ~200 lbs compared to the SS 1LE when equipped with the 10-speed auto. If this unicorn Mustang, if it even exists, does have ~10% more power than the ZL1, it's also going to need appropriate increases in thermal capacity for brakes and cooling. It will also likely need wider tires to handle the power. All three areas in which capacity increases are never light.

There's no way this alleged "GT500" weighs less than 4000 lbs.
