You guys realize the downloads linked on Pg.1 are for the EU version, right? For one thing, you can't even select the United States in the region settings in Sync, only EU countries.

The Radio displays two digits 93.70 Mhz instead of 93.7. Speed limit icon on Nav is some odd European red circle instead of the standard US speed limit icon. Everybody has noticed the keyboard is different. There may be other things (I'm curious about the 911 feature).

We should track down a link to a USA version....

so uh, if we have the EU spec software, where do we get US spec software??

Is there a way to determine which version we have? I downloaded the nav only update the first day it was posted.

Will Ford recognize the mismatch and provide an OTA?

The autoinstall file on that one specifically says Non-EU.

I don't know what you downloaded, but I did the Ford (leszek) version from page one and have no issues. Just checked again. Radio station are only one digit 93.1 and the NAV works fine. just put in an address in LA and I'm in NY and the map and directions are fine. Maybe your Sync unit had Euro software in it by mistake.

That cant be true, in my language settings it shows "English, Spanish, French" which are all the languages for NA.

Mhz is just a 2.0 thing that comes as an improvement over the old one.

last time I checked SYNC 3 isn't even available in EU cars. An update would be frivolous.

^^^ thats exactly right maybe they accidentally installed a EU hardware on yours and you're finding about it just now :lol:

For the record I have a test vin on 16 GT350 that hasnt had the update, once Ford releases the download I'm changing it to that one just to eliminate any EU/NA concerns

btw what ever happened to "by the end of the year" promise?:shrug:
