Noticed this on my 2015 GT. Took it to the dealer and they said the whole head liner may have to be replaced under warranty.

It's only sagging above the door. Anyone else have this happen?

Sorry no pics but yes I have this too only on the driver's side like yours. Really don't want the dealership to have my car because of all the nightmare stories you hear about not being exactly careful. It's not sagging though but looks cut short like yours. It's a 2016 built this past April

The dealer just called and said Ford will replace it . I am thinking the same thing as you are. Not crazy about having it redone.

If they could do a quick patch that looks good or maybe I'll come up with something if becomes too bothersome. Just think it's a lot to rip out and replace since it's not sagging and only that section above the driver's door like it was cut too short. Also don't put much faith in the dealer doing a better job. But it's under warranty for another 2 1/2 years so I have time if I change my mind. Good luck and let us know how it turns out if you decide to go through with the fix!

I was thinking I could get the same weather stripping or something similar to it like an extension that would cover the gap. Like I said though if it winds up bothering me too much or does start coming down, I will bring it in

Thank you for bringing it to their attention, CCCP1999! I’m here if you need me.

You should bring it in to your Ford Dealer and have them fully diagnose it, BlueDevil2016. Then, PM me with your VIN, dealer, mileage, full name, and best daytime number. I’ll loop in the customer service manager for your area. You can schedule an appointment online here.

Dealer horror stories are prevelant on YouTube and forums, but in reality they are extremely rare. Don't worry about it. That said, replacing a headliner piece is not all that difficult. Remove A, B, and C pillars and the lights (which is time consuming but not difficult) and the thing will basically fall down. Likely a wires up there, often they're glued or attached to the liner somehow so careful is the rule. Pull out, go on reverse. Done this on other cars a zillion times to put Dynamat on the roof for car audio purposes. May even ask them to put a few pieces up there - you'll notice the vastly reduced noise in heavy rain. Rear plastics are the hardest as you usually have to take a lot of the seat and so forth out.

Mine isn't sagging, but I think it's coming loose. I've noticed a new noise from that area. If I push up on the headliner it stops. I guess it's time to make an appointment. The headliner is the newest of about a dozen interior parts that rattle or squeak. I'm going to run out of radio volume to drown them all out soon.

I noticed a small area where this was happening. I pulled the rubber stripping down a bit and pushed it back up, but I will be watching for this now. Hope everything turns out ok for you.

Just press the headliner upwards and make sure to tuck it back under the rubber weatherstrip around the top of the door. It should stay in place from that point forward.
