Not trying to start a flame war just trying to figure out what way to go. I am not a drag racer more of a Road racer and want something that will not melt the paint off my hood after a long Track day, if I can ever get to one again.

I plan to stay stock internals minus OPG and CG. so making 1000RWHP is not needed.

All three are going to create underhood heat. The Kenne Bell has a liquid cooled compressor case option. The entire cooling system for the blower and charge air has its own cooling circuit as well.

OPG/TG only and I made 700whp through an auto. 650 with VERY conservative timing and boost levels is easily done.

Happy hunting!

thanks. I have been told that the TS style makes a lot more heat than the TVS but am not sure about use on long runs v/s 1/4 mile pulls.

Honestly, FI is gonna create heat and your tune is gonna have to be spot on especially if your discharge temps creep up. This may cause stress on cooling system of the vehicle as well. That's a lot of horsepower in heat the radiator has to cool.

What's your goal for power? If you haven't bought a car yet, you may be better served buying a 350, honestly. Local guy does road race stuff and with the mods needed to keep the mt82 healthy, suspension, wheels and tires, cooling. It was just easier to find a 350 since he didn't want to go wild with the power. A tune and regular intake and exhaust stuff should yield 500hp and a decent amount of usable torque too.

Also, look at a centri style blower. May fit your needs and save you some money as well.

I already hv my car. Would have loved to get a 350 but my kids like to eat at least once a week lol.

I am wanting basically the power either will give with a stage 2 kit about 650+- would be fun to play with.

I own a Kenne Bell. I drive it daily in the Texas heat and it hasn't missed a beat. You will get a lot of other opinions. Whipple is very active on this forum while Kenne Bell is mostly represented by BoostWorks on here.

Any of these are going to make you happy. I have nothing negative to say about any of the mentioned kits. We've installed them all and all have performed well.

I don't think you're very far from us, we are currently running a sale on VMP with free install with retail purchase.

As was said think long and hard about your goals.

I had roush tvs loved it but was struggling to make more than 700rwhp (93 octane)

I switched to whipple am now making a little over 900 and shooting for 1000

my goals are simple. I have had monster turbo 2v sn95s and vortech sn95s but have never had a PD system. I dont want to go radical with it just enough to have a good time and I think 650-675 would fill that bill well. I have read about heat issues with a lot of the PD systems but have also read a lot of people road racing them and jsut need to get some realistic personal experiences with them.

Thanks for all the replies.......

it has an engine!
A pd blowers powerband is not ideal for road racing in my experience. Does it work, yes. They are fun blowers dont misunderstand
