Taken in the correct context, the heat isn't a significant factor and should not cause your car to "wear out faster". My GT350 runs no hotter than my Lincoln LS that I have owned for the last 14 years. That is monitoring the trans and diff temps on both cars and applies to daily driving, I have also done some autocross with the Lincoln. Track use is a different story, if you have the motivation to track the car, then you should have the motivation to add coolers . . . problem solved.Never got to drive a GT500 either. I've been a fan of Shelbys for a long time.
I'm sure I'll like my Shelby; I just don't like the fact that heat is going to wear it out quicker than usual.
