I like that. So you changed the GT on the back to the black pony, which I LIKE a lot!

What about the 5.0? Just changed to black? OR something else, like Ford Performance logos, etc?

I wish there weren't mounting holes for the 5.0. I'd remove them completely, put the pony on the rear & let people think I was a V6.... sleeper style.
Went with the matte black 5.0. Totally agree with you though, if there weren't mounting holes I'd leave them off. I kept the chrome pony on the front for now.

Installed the MBRP stainless cat back from Team Beefcake. Easiest mod I've done in a while! Oh such a sweet sound... I love it.

Didn't get the Steeda springs done today. The bolts from the spindle to the strut!!!! Lord what a pain. Hit them with a 4lb sledge... And still no luck popping them out.

How do you like the combo so far? I have the same rotors on order and the brake pads in the garage waiting their arrival.
Also, shouldn't the slots be facing forward ? Saw them on another car and they were setup differently.

Thanks
Joe
So far I like it. The pads I'm currently using are the Powerstop Evolution Z23 pads (purchased from Rock Auto for $58 shipped) that are carbon fiber/ceramic. They have a tad less bite than the factory PP pads and WAY less dust. If I were to do any kind of event where I really needed every bit of braking performance possible, I'd pop the factory pads back in. Otherwise, these pads will do for the other 99.5% of the time.

As far as which way the slots are supposed to go, it's actually all a matter of personal preference. What actually matters is how your rotors are vented. If the vents are angled one way or the other, then it matters how you mount the rotors. But if your rotors' vents are essentially straight out from the center with no curve/slant to one direction, then you can mount them however you prefer. My rotor's vents were not directional and personally I like the look of the slots better how I mounted them.

My first track day. GT non-PP auto. Not the fastest but still an impressive car. Ran OEM pads and Motul RBF 600 fluid. Brakes held up well but I used them up by the end of the day. Will be looking to upgrade pads and add cooling ducts over the winter. I'm hooked now. :headbang:

Yesterday I tried some hydro-dipping for the first time. I think it came out pretty good. Though I found a couple small spots that make me want to sand everything down, respray the base and re-dip, now that I have it under my belt and know how to avoid the errors. I am going to get a larger tote to fill with water so I can do the center section of my engine cover in a few days. I'm also going to dip my coolant reservoir, sand and to the JLT intake as well.

Took it to the 1/8th track friday and absolutely bombed every run (3) lol... but it's all practice and fun so no hurt feelings.

Getting my coilovers installed tomorrow, can't wait.

I also pulled the decklid and plastidipped it white to see how I liked it (didn't take pictures). Decided that's the route i'm going. Looks good with the dark tails. Removed the badge and going to fill the holes with bondo and sand it back down and then just get it wrapped with vinyl. cheap and easy. People are smoking crack for the price of decklids now. Guy on FB was selling them for 350 shipped. People on ebay trying to sell them upwards to 500$... doesn't make sense. I personally wouldn't pay more than 100$ for one.

I'll post pictures up once I finish with it.

I wouldn't use bondo...It will crack due to the difference in materials. Get yourself some plastic weld and fill in and sand accordingly, the results will be better.

Ya. I actually read up on ABS plastic earlier and saw that Bondo wasn't a good choice. I'm gonna use black ABS cement and some ABS shavings using a piece of ABS pipe fitting I found there.. Picked the stuff up at Lowes on lunch.

Finally got around to blacking out my badges. Now all that's left is the lug nuts. I'd really like to take the headlights apart and black out those side markers, maybe in the fall.

Just get the Anchor Room sidemarker tint. It will make them nearly go away. I have the full headlight tint. It blacks them out pretty well.

Lights on and off,
