If you come here and say, "yes, I like Camaros and I'm only here to talk down the Mustang." Then I have no problem.
They have to pretend to either own a Mustang or at least pretend to like Mustangs or they are in direct violation of forum rules. You cant just show up and talk down Mustangs on a Mustang forum. I stay off of Camaro6 for this very reason. Even though I think the Camaro is a fine car. I would bet a weeks pay I'd be banned in less than a month over there for my pro Mustang Opinions. I got banned on Camaro5 for having pro Mustang opinions. When I owned a 2011 SS.

It's fun for me when people act like 20 HP is a HUGE amount or the weight difference between the cars is significant. Those are easy arguments to refute.
Did someone mention Mustang, Camaro, and weight in the same post?

Where is "ThePill"? He should comment. :D

At any rate, the weight of a camaro could be 900 lbs less, but I still would not want to own that raggedy POS.

I've always looked at Chevy as being the attention whore in the room. They always seem like the Johnny-come-lately following Ford of course. It just seems like they're the middle child struggling to get that approval, but I like that it makes Ford build a better Stang. Just think without the competition we'd all be driving vanilla mobiles.

A lot of people have the opinion that Ford needs chevy to make better cars that's simply not true. Look at the 2005 Mustang 300hp right out of the box and no camaro. Look at the 2007 Shelby GT 500 540hp and no competition. Ford is always striving to make a better product because they know that if you try the model T approach to building cars you'll be out of business fast

The blue oval has been good to me.

So far, I've owned Fords, Chryslers, Mazdas, a really old Datsun, two Saabs and a Jeep...I've never owned a GM product (unless you count the Saab) and I have no solid plans to buy a Chevy...but I'll be damned if it's not tempting. Any real driving enthusiast would agree that it's a pretty damn good car to drive and seriously quick in stock form.

So far, my mostly stock (bilstein/eibachs, upper control arm only) S197 has been trouble free, a total blast and unmistakably quicker than a stock S550 (which is something that I can't say about the Chevy) and that makes it really hard to start over with car payments.

If a dissenting opinion makes someone a troll, I don't know what to tell you except good luck with your life.

I'm a faker according to mister blue text. Here's a pic of my car below. Note that it's not a Camaro.

You seem to be talking in present tense, like you currently own this, but according to this post from over a year ago:

You sold that car.

Yep! Sold it to my pops...but couldn't buy the S550. I drove two, came away flat. It just didn't excite me.
I found a mint 5k mile GT500...which my dad liked better than my old GT so I gave his check back! We both ended up happy...for now. Really looking forward to 2018.

You must have a "factory freak". My 12 man 3.73 and 14 GT's auto (when stock) were no faster than my current 15 GT auto 3.55.

The manual 15 gt 3.31 I've driven felt noticeably slower than all of them however.

You're probably a pretty good driver. My results match up with pretty much all published comparisons.

Obviously, the S550 is way better on the backroads but not on the "strip" (stock vs stock).

By the way, please don't make this about me. Lots of talk about banning and forum rules, I'm pretty sure personal attacks are frowned upon.

I resent that I felt obliged to prove something just because Blue Text guy accused me.

I liked my '07 GT500 (and mine was a vert), but I love my '15 GT. Twice the car all around.

Different strokes....

Don't worry about it. S550 ownership isn't a requirement for membership. Just remember there are a lot of fragile egos around here just like over on the C_____6 forums. The two communities are so similar it's funny. I can't help but grin every time someone here gives an example of something negative "those guys" do on "the other forum" that we would never do here...when it happens here all the time too.
