Well its because the eb/v6 owners usually get the most crap from well......mustang gt owners.
Most v8 mustang owners hate us with a passion.
I really don't see much of this hate on M6G that you describe. On a few occasions I have seen someone act like a prick because he owned a GT "hey your engine is missing half its cylinders dur," but it doesn't appear to be that common. It's no different than the occasional scrub we get around here who thinks that shifting with a stick makes him cool. Or the Eco guy who tries to convince people his car is better than a GT by saying "it's just as fast with mods, it handles way better, it gets better gas mileage, it has a turbo with loads of torque, the GT is underwhelming." Give us a break guys. We don't come out and say anything until nonsense like this starts flying around. You don't need to justify your reasons for buying and keeping an Eco/Cyclone. It's a nice little car, love it and stop being so conviced everyone with a GT hates you.

This hate you describe is all in your head. Nobody cares what you drive but you. I seen about 50 posts from you personally in the last year. About how you wished you had bought the V8. If you think I'm flipping off every V6 or 4 banger owner. I come across on the street your nuts. Maybe there is a few V8 owners on this forum that think their car is better than yours. How does this effect your life personally though? It don't.:headbonk:

I've owned plenty of V8's including the Coyote 5.0L, thanks. But since you've seen it a million times already, Ford must be ready to cut both the 4 and 6cyl models completely for the next year due to lack of sales and overflowing trade in stock, amirite? Thats a lot of times its happened.
Well you can keep crying. And be the poor little picked on 4 banger owner. Or you can quit worrying and bitchin about what people you don't know think. And move on with your life and enjoy your car and this forum. Your choice.

When I bought my car, it was either going to be a V6 or the GT. The Ecoboost was never a consideration. I had actually originally planned to buy a V6, but when I looked at the numbers and what my down payment was going to be, I realized I could comfortably afford the GT, so I went with that.

My line of thinking, was that I'm either going to get the cheapest mustang and mod it, or go "all out" on the GT. The ecoboost just seemed expensive for what it was. All the cars I saw were premium equipped, and for the price of those, I'd rather pay a little more for a base GT.

The 2.3 eco isn't bad by any stretch, but if I'm buying a mustang, that's not the motor I want. Put it in more small cars, and they'll be a blast to drive (like the Focus RS).

Also, I say this everytime, but the V6 makes its quoted power on 87 octane, the ecoboost makes the power on 93... and makes significantly less on 87. And there's nothing wrong with that, but it's worth noting.

I hate everybody. But not, it should be noted, because of the car they drive, or the number of cylinders in their motors.

It's much easier to just hate everybody. Wouldn't want anyone to feel left out.

Theres some hate on this forum but not a lot. Other forums yes theres a lot, other venues of the internet, irl as well. Youd have to experience it to understand.

I just finally met up the EB owner across town form me. He's been doing some mods here and there and says his Cobb tune gave him 80hp more. Man, that sounded like a lot. Is that what a Cobb tune does for the EB? If it is, that's pretty impressive. He also has a catback and I think a Cobb CAI.

A tune alone will not get you 80 more hp. You can get a nice torque bump on tune alone (40-50ish) but not 80 hp. I think people were seeing 20-30 more hp on custom tunes. The Off the shelf ones are pretty suspect.

Typically folks go tune, intercooler, exhaust, BOV, catch can, CAI. Then bigger turbo.

I don't think you will get much more HP on just exhaust and CAI either.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the info. I thought something sounded a little off, but I don't know too much about the EB's. That would've kicked *ss if it was true.

- Stock EB on 93 is around 270WHP/300WTQ
- Custom-tuned EB with a couple of bolt-ons makes around 315WHP/380WTQ on 93.
- Make that E30 and you're talking about 360WHP/420 more less. (This gets you around stock GT territory with more TQ).
- Even more bolt-ons like Aux fuel to support E85 and you'll see close to 400WHP, but the stock turbo is getting outside it's efficient range.
- Above that, a big turbo. People with the higher HP builds are in the 600WHP range.
- Even more? Then built motors, etc... Sky is the limit when money is not a concern.

That said, if your goal is 600+ WHP, you're better off starting with a GT & blower. :D

Do you practice being a douchebag or does it come natural to you? You are exactly the kind of poster that the ecoboost guys are talking about. I don't worry about what anyone thinks about my car, but you sure seem to want me to.
