2017 ZL1 vs GT350R??

well talking about the ZL1, the front page just got updated new spy shot of the gt500

with TT V8 and over 700hp don't think the Zl1 stands a chance.

what? After years of explaining that there is no cooling issues on the C7 Z06 they fix what was already fixed?

Not everyone has had cooling issues with there Z06. Many did not do the track setup that was needed. My Z06 finished every session I started. The cooling issues for some yes have been a problem just as with Tech pack GT350's. There is no comparison between the Z06 and the R on track just my opinion with seat time in both cars, the R will need another 75 HP IMO to compete with the new ZL1

Comparisons need to be done on the track and not in the forums.

Two excellent cars, but totally different cars built for different purposes.

Spent lot of time on track and hate blower motors. I'll believe they will stand a whole track day when I see it.

don't think its a surprise that the hp/tq figure just got released for ZL1 this past weekend and 24 hours later gt500 test mule surfaces.

who is gonna buy a 650hp ZL1 when you wait a year and can get a ~720hp GT500?

Would love to see it with those carbon fiber wheels. Wonder whats up with the mismatched fronts wheels. Let the speculation begin!! 740HP no auto option, though I'd love to see it. Easy tune gains with that TT. If banks opened today and I ordered tomorrow, I may get one in 2020, 4th quarter build.

If ford plays this right, maybe they can somehow figure out a way of distributing these cars like the application process of the GT. All current GT500 owners get first shot type of a deal. Then of course others can be let in to reach the 10,000 car mark. I don't know, just a thought. Nothing will probably be done.
either way, if things look good to me, I'll add one to the garage.

Can't rule out that if the next GT500 does indeed go twin-turbo..... it may be an Ecoboost V6 TT in there??

Think of all the Ford GT buyers who shelled out half a million bucks yet their halo car has snails but w/ a V6 while the 500 has the snail'd V8 plus over 700hp??

The only car that would compete against the GT350R is the Stingray Grand Sport. Both are NA, track focused and same price range.


That GT500 tho.....
