All USA models are.So all PP's are 3.73 ?
I've had 2 Tremec trans ,'12 SS Camaro(disapointing car) and my current GT500.(what a car!) They both shifted great. After driving my '15 GT auto, 3.55, I feel both would have benefited from a high quality auto. Never having to worry about breaking stuff on launch is very fun.I bought my gt/cs auto with 3:55's and i knew from past experience not to buy another mt-82. I don't care how well they dress it up its still a garbage transmission. They should have went with a tremec when the 15's came out. My current car has every option you can get on a mustang minus the gloss black roof, but i have 3m vinyl wrap on order to take care of that. Autos are faster more reliable and dont need any mods when adding big power.. Im Really loving this car. Got wheels on order as well. Gonna hook this thing up and enjoy every minute I'm in it!

Or it could be a brilliant flawless design, but imported with very poor quality control. IIRC, the MT82 was a Getrag box that has since been outsourced to China. It cracks me up when Internet mechanical engineers call a piece of this car "crap/junk/garbage/trash/s**t/terrible/poorly designed, etc etc etc. Millions of dollars of research, top notch engineers with countless hours of work, thousands of hours of testing, and some guy on the internet who works on cars in his garage or doesn't know a cam from a crank can dismiss it like it's nothing.
I would say definitely ... just like a lot of other issues on the S550. You can have the best design and manufacturing drawings and specifications in the world, but if those are not followed due to lack of manufacturing processes and quality, then you end up with problems.Or it could be a brilliant flawless design, but imported with very poor quality control. Some owners have problems with it, others have none. Doesn't that point to QC instead of design flaw?
With propper DFMA, a good design can't be built wrong. Short of blatant errors....

The problem is not always an R&D or an engineering issue, bean counters make them cut corners to save money, that may be the problem. In a performance car like the Boss 302 for 12/13.....as an example the shifter was such garbage,so much so that it destroyed transmissions by the hundreds. The simple solution was for a few thousand Boss owners to buy an aftermarket shifter. The GT 500 Came with a CF one piece driveshaft, the Boss ,cheap two piece junk(I killed3).....bean counters have an effect,so yes R&D and engineering is only a part of the problemIt cracks me up when Internet mechanical engineers call a piece of this car "crap/junk/garbage/trash/s**t/terrible/poorly designed, etc etc etc. Millions of dollars of research, top notch engineers with countless hours of work, thousands of hours of testing, and some guy on the internet who works on cars in his garage or doesn't know a cam from a crank can dismiss it like it's nothing.
