not sure about your experience, but for me this was simply a case of wrong foot placement.
The fact is that the brake pedal arm intrudes on the clutch foot space. I have driven manual trans vehicles for over 40 years and NEVER encountered this clumsy design problem.

Ford's brake pedal and arm design is amateurish and should have been far better designed. In some circumstances, it could be dangerous.

Ford clearly has a few years of experience designing and building cars and should have done a far, far better job since this was a clean paper new generation vehicle.

And looking at your picture i dont need nearly that much of my foot on the clutch. Do you really need that much leverage with your foot to shift? I where adidas samba millenniums.They are a pretty wide shoe. I were size 11.
