Called the DSS and got a RMA number to get it checked out. Awesome customer service on their part to this point. Always frustrating when a mod doesn't go to plan but nice to have someone standing behind their products.

I'll post up an update when we figure out the problem/solution.
Good to hear they're taking care of you. Looking forward to how it all turns out.

Hope everything works out for you. Curious on how you like it and what review you write about it.

Thought I would give you guys an update. I know it been a month but in all fairness it took me awhile on my end to get it sent back to DSS. Sent them a quick message this morning checking on the status and got a reply back stating "The design of this driveshaft was updated and the revised version is being made to replace the one we received.":headbang:

Hopefully its lighter but I'll be happy either way

I want to get one for my car but just can't see myself spending that much on it. :( . Does the car feel lighter.

Do you plan on putting forced induction on your car? If not then I wouldn't bother. I assume you're probably not super concerned with performance since you bought a v6.

No thanks to UPS I finally have my new shaft back from the DSS. I'm using a bathroom scale here so the weights might not be accurate but I think its still valuable for comparison sake.

The updated shaft has a different carbon fiber weave, smaller adapter on the trans side, one CV joint instead of two, and is 4.2 lbs lighter on my scale. I'll grab more accurate weights of the CF shaft and stock shaft before installing. I was impressed with the first shaft but this new shaft is extra sexy. Should get a chance to install this weekend. Hopefully she spins smooth FTW.

Maybe but yet again I might trade up as soon as I can to 50h.

I guess I already have the updated shaft.. When did you get that older design? I've had mine since July 2015

If you still happen to have vibration issues, I'd consider removing the diff bushings. When I installed the one piece drive shaft after the BMR diff lockout kit I had the same vibration issue you describe and was ready to loose the drive shaft. On a whim I removed the lockout kit first and haven't had a single issue since.
