Just got done installing my driveshaft shop carbon fiber driveshaft. Now I have a vibration starting at 50-60mph gets worse going up to 80mph. I didn't test it beyond 80.

I know this can usually be resolved by clocking the driveshaft but looking for some pointers for how much to try. Before I remove the exhaust and the shaft a millions times.

Any help is appreciated

Check your bolts to make sure nothing loosened up. If not you just got to try rotating the shaft.

Also be sure that no lock tite got in between the flange surfaces. I reclocked my ds drive shaft 3 times and it wasn't till I cleaned the flanges carefully and made sure the bolts were torqued properly that the vibration was gone.

Clocked the driveshaft 180° and check all of the adapter bolts. I have same vibration starting at 60. Above 60 it justs get worse.

So obviously I have to crawl back under there but not sure if I'm going to give it one more shot or just reinstall the factory shaft. Probably will take the transmission side off first and inspect for any thing between the flanges.

Didnt really get to crazy with it given the vibration but the weight difference from the stock to piece was insignificant.

My shaft flange and aluminum adapter had marks on them. I lined those up. No vibs on mine. DSS carbon is what I have[/QUOTE

I have the marks lined up but I didn't remove the aluminum flange from the shaft for the install but I did torque all the Allen heads down. Guess I'll drop the front of the shaft remove the adapter and inspect those flanges

Well just f#&#ed myself. While torquing the rear adapter back on the pinion flange I over torqued one of the bolts and pulled the threads on the flange. The torque wrench didn't click but yet but I knew as soon as I heard the crack.

Well after I thought I stripped the flange I went out for a bunch of drinks. Upon further inspection this morning it was the adapter bolt that broke. Except it didn't break in two the head was just spinning on top of the threads. I have never seen a bolt break like that and I have broke my fair share bolts.

I was able to chisel the head of the bolt off and grab the threads with some vise grips. Factory drive shaft is back under her now guess I'll being calling the DSS tomorrow to see what needs to be done next.:frusty:

Called the DSS and got a RMA number to get it checked out. Awesome customer service on their part to this point. Always frustrating when a mod doesn't go to plan but nice to have someone standing behind their products.

I'll post up an update when we figure out the problem/solution.

Hope everything works out for you. Curious on how you like it and what review you write about it.
