Believe it or not, it's great.I agree. Can't imagine driving a GT350 w/o Recaros.

Plus it's alot easier and cheaper to add the coolers later than all of the comfort. I said it in another thread, I love the way the Recaros look and wanted them so bad but after a test drive I had to change my order, I just did not find them comfortable and I'm not the only one, Had they been a smidge wider at the waist, the bolsters not quite so high and softer I would have kept them. The stock seats in the Mustang and Gt350 are so good that I just wasn't willing to make any sacrifices for the additional support of the Recaros. Were this not my DD and if I was 20lbs lighter it would have been a different story.A more comfortable car with more gadgets has more appeal to the $60k car buyer regardless of how track-focused the car is, so dealers checked that box the most. And as most people have said, most of the cars will never set tire on a road course.
In terms of end customer's retail orders, many people didn't have quite all the knowledge in hand about the limitations of the base and Tech cars when ordering. So again, people went for the gadgets and hoped for the best, myself included.
Actually, it was that simple. Ford's market research indicated that the majority of buyers would want the Tech Package. Only after a lot of cars were delivered did Ford discover that a small but very vocal number of Tech Package owners wanted to run their cars on the track. If you look at the material sent to dealers by Ford Marketing, they viewed the GT350 as three different cars to market to three different types of buyers. I don't think it was that simple. I think the changes for 2017 bear that out.
That is correct. However, in 2017, the Track package is standard.Dumb question for most of you but I'm new to the GT350: For the 2016's, did you have to pick between the tech package or track package? In other words, you couldn't get both packages on the same car?
This - many dealerships bring a mass produced sales mindset to a bespoke race car.Dealers see leather and nav and check the boxes.
I personally wouldn't even consider one without Recaros - but i'm very particular about my cars.I agree. Can't imagine driving a GT350 w/o Recaros.
Agreed, a lot of effort when into hitting that $49,995 price point for marketing purposes. They'll be less of those base cars than the R! They're the real unicorn.I agree they messed up. They tried too hard to make an extremely inexpensive model available.
I have no problem with my Nokia sized screen.....Radio doesn't even come on : )when u buy a performance car for 60k u dont want to see a tiny screen that doesnt do anything.. on the other hand pinch zoom larger touch nav screen and leather are more "bang for your buck" philosophy
Smartest comment I have read on this forum in a longgggggggg TIME!If you look at the material sent to dealers by Ford Marketing, they viewed the GT350 as three different cars to market to three different types of buyers. I don't think it was that simple. I think the changes for 2017 bear that out.

I agree it's great. I ran an autox this last weekend and had absolutely no problems with sliding around in my seat. The seats are very comfortable and the heating and cooling features make the car a lot more enjoyable to drive on cold days and long trips. I'm sure when it finally gets warm around here I will be using the cooling feature more.Believe it or not, it's great.
