Installed the GT350 Start Button using the Bill Tumas method, except I didn't disconnect the battery. Literally took 60 seconds. Really happy with the race car feel now.

For such a simple thing......it makes the car look awesome! Will be ordering one of those!! Thanx!

You are correct (retired at 50y/o), one of the two neighbors I have probably think I am nuts for the taking the car out everyday but I don't car, I am retired, live 3 miles from the beach, gas is cheap and have a shiny new red mustang, wouldn't you do the same thing, lol?

Welcome to the club Terry!! I only drive mine for the summer.....then off to Mexico for 4-5 months in the winter! Polish it up, trickle charger and car cover on!! Fires right up when I get back!! Repeat!! Took early retirement myself at 54!! :cheers::cheers:

Because it's a PITA to remove. You can in a sense just break the sound tube off the bolt by pulling and twisting. That's the option I did, as I planned on throwing the sound tube away anyway.

It sounds like there was a production change at some point to replace the super long stud and nut with a plastic clip.

Hmmm...I'm gonna have to look and see what I have.

My '16 has the long stud, I just used some elbow grease and twisted. I didn't even break the mounting point for the stud. It does have two plastic clips, one by the shock tower and one on the firewall, then the stub below the hole in the firewall. Its really easy, maybe a 3 minute project. If you have bigger hands the hardest part is putting the firewall plug in, its a tight fit.

Installed a gloss black "GT" from CJPP. Was quite a PITA. Beat the hell out of the $800+ that Ford wanted for a complete panel with the black GT.
