I've read gt350 Dyno at 429 hp and on 98 octane only get 456 hp, yet motortrend get 471 on 91. So did Ford cheat?
If you seen a gt350 dyno at 429 you seen either a idiot dyno operator or the E brake was on slightly. No gt350 dynos at 429.

All I have read is speculation. Just people who didn't like the results and will do whatever they can to discredit the results.
Yup. Remember when the ZL1 had a timed video and it beat the time of the 350 that doesn't have a video for proof?

What did some of the ford guys say?

Oh the time that the 350 set which was listed on a questionable site that has been known to lie and doesn't have video proof is real but the Camaro's timed video is edited/fake.

You can't make bulls**t like this up... LMAO

Ford didn't make any claims to the horsepower kings posting. We're staying the facts that GM sent a non stock z28 to go head to head with the gt350r. Funny how nobody else has seen a z28 stock put down 469 rwhp. In 100 degree heat at that.

I also want to add.
Good old MotorTrend said the voodoo has 13.0:1 compression. WRONG!
Also you can tell me GM didn't cheat all you want but look at the gt350 vs gt350r dyno pulls and they are damn near identical.
WAY TO GO GM. BETTER LUCK NEXT TIME.

Proof?
Proof of lying, cheating or both?

Do you want a list of all parts on ring car and oem car, do you want video of them shaving tires, do you want engine dyno of ring/mag cars vs one purchased off dealer lot? Good luck.

All the proof I need is that gm took their new pre production z28 to the ring sept of 13 and can't beat the 2012 zl1 time on a dry warm closed track. A month later in early oct they come back in colder damp weather and somehow manage to take 4 secs off. Let's see, cold and slick track and yet somehow they go 4 sec faster all with the same oem car.

Jim Nero runs a 09 ZR1 at 7.26.4 at the ring. Sport auto takes an 09 ZR1 from a dealer and runs 7.36. Almost 12 sec slower. If you state the sport auto driver not accomplished you would be wrong. Former professional driver with hundreds of laps on the ring. The same driver ran the 918 at 7.13.
Sport auto has also compared other manufacturer times.
CGT they were 4 sec slower
For the GT2RS they were 6 secs slower.
For the 11 GTR they were 10 sec slower.

Porsche is within limiting factors, gm and Nissan are twice as much difference. Makes you wonder.

I tried posting the link, but this site would not allow. Anybody can pick and choose good Dyno to bad Dyno runs, there just a tool. The guy I mentioned did a octane test with the gt350. On 91 he got 429hp, on 93 he got 440hp and on 98 he got 456hp. Obviously this is a stingy Dyno, but the point was he gained 11hp going from 91 to the recommended 93 the Ford rated the gt350 hp by. So motortrends Dyno was done at 100 degrees with 91 octane with a 13:1 compression engine. So they would not of dynoed Fords 526hp. You being a tech would know what low octane does to a high compression engine.

What time for the 350?

Yes the z28 on its semi slick ptr tires ran faster than 350tp on mss. Is that what you are trying to say? Big deal, good for you you have tires that last 3k miles stick like glue and give 4 sec advantage on a 2 min track.

Like the same way no one saw the time the 350 ran at the ring?

Because plenty of people on here including you believe that that time happened.

And dyno pulls are unreliable. You've said that yourself. Maybe it was a dyno showing numbers on the high end for that set of pulls?

Or are dynos only correct and reliable when you have a point you want to push? Because they aren't at any other time aparently...

Where are you going with this? Cause if you're going to whine about using PERFORMANCE tires when running a car on a track I'll point and laugh at you every time for making such a dumb point.

They used a performance tire on a performance car.... Waaaaaaaaahhh. That's you.

I'm sorry you think every performance car should have GT Radials on them from the factory... But that's not reality.

Just because a driver has done many laps at the ring doesn't mean he's as good as a driver as Nero. Be real. Plus any manufacturer who does the ring will get the fastest driver they can get to do. Way to many conspiracies with you guys. You all were raving about the gt350r ring time which beat the z28, yet not one bit of proof that it did it. But to you guys it was legit and on the level. So did this Sport auto guy do the gt350r?:headbonk:

If both cars were dynoed on 91 that proves my point even more. So basically you are saying the z28 would make even more on 93 octane! Which is what GM brought to the gun fight. They either have higher octane race gas (not pump gas) or a tune. That's cheating!
Plus the gt350/r does not have 13.0:1 they have 12.0:1. Big difference.

Don't put words in my mouth. I'm not talking about Track times. I'm talking about same day, same track, same dyno.
If you honestly believe GM made more hp stock at only a 7% loss compared to all other z28s your blind.
I'm fully aware of dynos being tools. And when you compare both gt350/r dyno pulls with MT they are identical. No way the z28 is making 505 hp. Or they tuned it for the test or its making 520 hp. Either way they lied.

He's saying that GM post times for a factory stock car but uses race tires that do not come equipped on a factory oem car then they use that time to brag about.
Here why don't we do this I'll track my car and compare it to the zl1

I never agreed that the R ring time was legit. I'm simply talking about MotorTrend dyno pulls.
I will say the R is the better faster car.
