Correct I'm aware of that. But I do not agree with the fact that some GM or camaro guys come here and talk crap and yet it's ok ?

Oh I don't disagree on the crap talk part. I think they hand out warnings no matter which side you're on though.

I've seen the same thing happen on pretty much any forum.

If you think it's bad on car forums... You should see the gaming forums... ugh.

It's like this. Except everyone is 12. And it's worse.

It's a gift, really. :ninja:

Edit: I'd also like to point out that I edited my post right after with the grammar insult. You're just too fast for me on the reply button. :p

I get a little over excited and my inner gaming troll comes out sometimes. I attempt to quickly reel him in though.
You do have the gift. I think sometimes we all are to quick on the reply button.:D

...it's funny they offered the equipment on the ZL1LE that should have been standard.

The Camaro isn't doing well and another parts-bin model for $70,000 isn't going to cut it. People won't even pay $30,000 for a Camaro.

This isn't interesting at all...

This is what the ZL1 was suppose to be until it got too expensive. The 2017 ZL1 is the dumbed down version of this car.

Also note, this particular ZL1 can't host an automatic transmission. That is because a ZL1 can't withstand the heat generated under hood and in the drivetrain.

An Automatic CAN NOT function in a ZL1 properly. This was discussed in detail...

Lets just get this back on topic......thanks
Let's. The zl1 1le is a sham just like the z06, zr1, zl1, z28 that came before it. Yes the zl1 will be fast yet it won't be as fast as gm and media scams tunes cheats its numbers makes believe. We are talking about a company who's z28 was not as fast as their 12 zl1.

The zl1 1le is Suspension tuning and tires with no tread that's it. Put race slicks on any car and it will be faster. That's all gm did with this car.

So by your logic, a GT350 is just as fast as a R with same tires. Boy those who bought a R got screwed.

If you put the same tires on a non R, same wheel alignment and same weight. Yeah the non R would run neck and neck when an R

So, different suspension, improved aero, weight savings, and track tires is a sham? How else would they make a car faster? Sounds awfully similar to the differences between a 350 and a 350R. Is that a sham too?

Actually yes Voodoo is right. You can make regular gt350 or gt350tp faster than an R with ease. You are mostly paying for the R brand and how unique the car is from the factory plus for those carbon fiber wheels. If you just drop down the weight from the gt350tp with carbon fiber ds, rear seat delete, lighter rims, and same R compound tires, i bet you would have similar and maybe even better performance.

Just like the R the zl1 1le is also tailored from the factory. Besides the aero though, the adjustable shocks are pretty unique. But i m betting a regular zl1 owner can also achieve the same performance with aftermarket support. Buying a factory freak is nice though with warranty and originality.

From what I have read, there is more then that. The suspension, aero, tuning are also different. Just can't see just tires making up 3 sec on the track.

You're correct, the aero and suspension settings are different. How much the suspension settings are difference, who knows. GT350R has thinner profile tires. That effectively increases the rear diff gear (3.73 -> 3.89 I believe). The R also has stickier tire which is also wider. That's a double whammy.

It won't make up the whole difference, but it will definitely eat up a lot of it. Equally tired I'd say the R is between a half to a full second faster on a high speed 2 minute course.
