I found that Warning to be a little bizarre??? No reason to be nice to a competing model. In a sales thread. When the competing model is getting it's ass kicked. Respecting forum members is one thing. But respecting Camaros on a Mustang forum?
I think it has to do more with not being a dick than respecting the other brand. Something I am generally bad at in the right circumstances.

Like it or not, the camaro and Trans am always will lack mustang sales. The GM twins may have been lucky a few years but the mustang dominated the sales and still do.

I won't argue with that.

But I love me some WS6 Trans Am... IJS.

In my opinion camaros are junk. Like it or not that's my opinion. I would never want one, drive one, I'd never step foot on a GM dealers lot except to go to the parts department for customers cars parts and even that is like a crime to me. Makes my skin crawl.

And that's fine. I respect that you don't like the other brand. I just like when there's a discussion that goes further than. "Well I don't like it and think it's junk, so it's junk."

Also take me for a ride in your GT350.

And then was stagnant for 5 years.

Since the Camaro has come back there's been either a refresh or power bump as well as a generation change, and now another refresh and a power bump in 7 years.

The Camaro coming back is the best thing that has happened to the Mustang in the last 25 years. But by all means, keep bringing it up, you've already been warned by the moderators.
Really what was the GT 500 what was the Bullitt and what was the Boss 302.

You mean the 2012 Boss 302 that came out after the Camaro returned?
There is a three year cycle or more to bring cars or engines to production the Boss 302 was under development before the camaro came out. I see you ignored the GT 500 and the Bullitt.

While development cycles are true, each company has there own version of competitive intelligence to glean where the competition is going.

People change companies, people talk, and low and behold in a meeting somewhere, at some time someone says " so we may want to greenlight that new v8 we want to pursue, there is a bunch of camoed holdens and sourcing packets for a new RWD coupe which is probably going to be a 6.0 powered camaro..."

True but the statement that almost everyone is saying is Mustang needs camaro to innovate which is not true. There weren't any Holdens camaros or Challengers running around when the 500hp GT500 was developed.

I don't think the argument is that the Mustang needs the camaro to innovate, its just that the presence of the Camaro does help motivate Ford to push the envelope. Competition is almost never a bad thing for the consumer.
